View Full Version : will this still be ok? going from 16 x 6.5 rim to 16 x 7.5
I found a set of rims, but they are 16" x 7.5" and the offset is +42
i believe the stock steelies are 16 x 6.5" and +45
will this still be ok on my car or will it stick out too much and negatively affect the suspension geometry?
sorry for the noob question but would really appreciate the help!!
also - would the stock tires be ok on the wider rims? the stock tires are the turanza's 205/55/16

Yes, they will fit, as long as the bolt pattern and centre bore are correct. 5x114.5 mm and 57.1 mm if I recall correctly.
You can probably get away with using the stock tires -- if you check the manufacture's website you should be able to find a fitment guide for the tires. It will list minimum, maximum and recommended rim widths.

67.1mm Rick lol
the rims I found has a center bore of 72.64mm and the mazda has a 67.1mm.
Is that still ok or do I need some kind of spacer or something to center the rim?
sorry again - lots of noob questions here..

centering ring required
ok - so the rims and stock tires should be ok - but get centering rings. btw - where and how much would those cost?
Just wanted to make sure there would be no rubbing. I'm not lowered or anything but thought I would check on the forum and make sure.

Our tire sponsors should have hub rings for your rims. PM them first.
thanks everyone - here's another quick question - can a 16" x 6" rim fit on a 2010 mazda 3?
I found another set of rims from a protege but wanted to check if it would work..
TIA
