I just bought a used fujita f5 off a member here whos lease expired. The CAI is polished (or at least was), but is very tarnished and has small corrosion like spots on the chrome finish. I tried using some of aluminum polish, and although it brought out a better shine, the spots are still all over.
I'm curious as to a) if I can remove these spots. b) if i can paint the CAI and make it look good again

get it powered coated or just get high temp paint on it

Use bbq paint for a stealth look.

you'd have to grind or repolish the corrosion spots.
and yeah - BBQ paint is ok

I just used black rust paint on my old injen cai. No real prepping necessary.

Any color brake paint should be good too! For black though, bbq paint ftw

My CAI came painted. No problems with it so far. Not sure what paint the previous guy used though.
