It`s been many moons since I bought a after market audio system. The last one I bought was a Clarion and I enjoyed it. So I have been thinking about buying another Clarion. I would like to get some opinions from other members on this new model. I`ve been out of the loop for so long I don`t know whats good or bad anymore.

Your help would be grateful.

i got the vx400... i still need to install it... but you get alot of features for the price... rear usb, built in blue tooth, sync iphone library, bluetooth streaming. that has 4v output I believe for the amps as well as 2 connections for rear video and a backup cam.

Just throwing in my .02 here. Clarion has gotten continuously smaller in the automotive aftermarket business over the last four years. Their biggest dealer is East Hamilton Radio now but between the US and Canada they have approx. 5% market share which is barely anything I mean if you guys know the brand Dual which you would have seen at BB and WM they have more market share than these guys so I don't think it's the best brand to go with any more. I'm not even sure where they do there servicing now.

You always want to look at companies who are releasing new products and releasing products that fit peoples lifestyles. Now I'm biased for Pioneer but look at the new AVIC-X930BT it uses an app you can get today for free called Aha radio and you can now have your facebook and twitter updates read to you through your car!! No one has anything like that yet. JVC and Sony are both releasing new products and Alpine hasn't really done anything in the last two years so I wouldn't bother with them but that's my opinion on Clarion.
