My car is a 2007 and to this day I have yet to receive proper service from any of the three Mazda Dealers I have been to. Not even a simple oil change, they either put in the wrong grade of oil, damage the engine under cover or claim to change the oil and don't even do the job.
When I purchased the car I reminded the dealer 3 times to make sure the engine mount recall is done before I pick up the car. One week later I was at a Mazda dealer getting the mount recall done as it was some how missed in the PDI I paid for.
Now due to a fuel pump replacement the car is leaking gas in the engine bay, I am lucky a fire didn't start as the exhaust manifold and turbo are very close the the gas leak.
Anyone else here fed up with Mazda Dealer service and Mazda Canada?

I've been to MoT, QEW and Forbes Waterloo Mazda. All were very nice. I brought my own oil and they've used it (I think).

Just wondering what led u to believe they did not change your oil if u went for an oil change?

Have no complaints about Forbes. Which 3 dealers are these? I don't think you could go wrong with any of the Mazda sponsors on this forum.

The oil being black. I drove it 5 kms and then checked the dip stick as I always do.

Really curious to know which dealerships you've visited for this horrible experience. My first visit so far was with Ontario Mazda on Dixie Rd in Mississauga. Service wasn't bad (I think.)

Yeah, you can't come on a forum like this and not say which dealerships.
I'm also a forbes guy (where I got my MS3) and they're superb...although north bay mazda (who have sold my family three mazda 3's including my first MZ3) and sault ste marie mazda (was away on business there for a few months) also have been fantastic.

I didn't start this thread so I could single out the three dealerships I have been to. I just wanted to see if others were having the poor service from Mazda dealers.

got no problem with the parts departments...
Service...I got my reasons....one story, accident repair done by dealership recommendation, car looked like crap, and its rusting, overspray everywhere...
again same dealership, high recommended here....go in for diagnostic due to CEL / low rev problem, come back with a estimate, service + techs, recommendation which made no sense...stretched CV bolt, malfunction in air box and air intake hose...some other random bull crap...total $1200
and what was the problem an 02 sensor diagnosed by a private mechanic....
that is all

Mazda Dealers is a very general thing. If you suspect something, ask to watch the oil change IIRC some dealers have glass windows to the garage.

It would still be hard to see what grade oil they used from the window.

I like jiffy lube or small shops like that. It's a hell of a lot faster, plus you know what kind of oil is going in.

You could have found that if you searched. If you are going to come on here and complain about dealers then you should at least say what dealers to be able to compare the service other ppl have got there.
This thread is pointless. You could have easily searched ppls experiences.

You clearly started this thread to complain about that. You have 283 posts, so I can tell you're not really a n00b. You've been around 3 years longer than I have, so you should really know that we have an entire section devoted to members sharing their experiences with dealerships.
As to not sound like a COMPLETE ass, here's the link: http://www.torontomazda3.ca/forum/forumdisplay.php?94-Mazda-Dealership-Experience
Now, either share your specific experiences with each dealership, or go away. I'm not trying to sound like a douche, but you can't expect us to sympathize with you if you don't even tell us where your experiences are? If you had a terrible experience at one specific dealership, why not warn us so we know to keep our eyes open and keep an eye on certain aspects of that dealership? I had a terrible experience with QEW Mazda; I made a thread here, the staff of that dealership actually took my complaint into account and followed-up with me based on my posts here! It's how this place works.

I don't see how you can start a thread asking about our experiences at Mazda dealerships when the search function would pull up a bunch of results for that :S I think you should tell us what dealerships you went to that way we can provide our experiences for those very same dealerships. Otherwise, your just going to get people going to half the dealerships saying service was great and the other users saying they went to other dealerships where the service is bad. Your not going to get a straight answer, you need to narrow it down.
I know you said you don't want to point the finger at specific dealerships which I respect but without doing that, you are simply just making another thread about that same old thing that can be found using the search function. We don't need another thread regarding this, IMO.
In order to make this thread more useful, I think a lot of members would be happier to know what dealerships you got this bad service at that way we can all be cautious when we go there. This way we will all be learning from your unfortunate incidents.
Just my 2 cent..
beat you all to the punch :P

Peter, as a member of QEW Mazda and being the one who delt with yourself regarding your fuel pump repair as mentioned prior the vehicle was road tested to confirm repairs at that time, and everything did check out ok. if you have any concerns please contact myself and i would be happy to discuss them with you.

Mountain Mazda in Hamilton is terrible. Centennial Mazda, just off the QEW Niagara is better but not great.
I do about 90% of all repairs myself and if for whatever reason I can't do it (time restraints, etc.), I'll take it to a private shop that I trust 100%. When the owner hand washes and waxes your car (for free) every time it comes in, you know that you've found a winner.

Most have been pretty good. Though after the last visit I will now be bringing my own oil.

Forbes Mazda hand washes for free on every service...it's not unheard of.

Other than one service experience that really rubbed me the wrong way, Dave Wood Mazda in Newmarket has always been very good to me and people I have sent there. I used to take my Pro for service there many years ago even before I lived in Newmarket.
However, these days the only person who works on our cars for service needs is Jimmy and Rich at Street Performance. The dealer will see me if there is something I need covered under warranty.

I have found the three Mazda Dealerships I have used so far are pretty bad.
QEW - Was where I bought the car and couldn't be less impressed.
Burlington Mazda - Tried to charge me to program my Tire Pressure Monitors. It can be simply done by the owner of the car for free.
Erin Mills - First oil change and last oil change done there. How do you screw up an oil change? Go to Erin Mills Mazda they can do it.
I don't think I will bother with Mazda Dealerships anymore unless I need warranty work.

You can program TPS/TPM yourself without the dealers programming it? Am I reading that correctly?

Yep very easy. Takes an hour but there is no programming. Where I bought my winter tires the owner told me how to do it.
The first step was to turn key to "on" position.
Leave IN "on" POSITION for xx mins (xx- is the part I cannot remember)
Turn off ignition.
Leave car for 45 minutes.
