I'm looking to get the 2011 GX and would like to get 16" winter rims (metal) that are hub centric (perfect fit)? Does anyone know how much Mazda charges for these?

Would you recommend going down to a 15" winter rim setup?

Also, does anyone know if online tire websites (like tirerack) sell hub centric rims for the Mazda 3?

I searched the forums for this info but could not find anything.

Car got ordered with 15" rims. I emailed 1010tires asking for the proper 15" tire size.

15" will fit on 2.0l but not 2.5l which have bigger brakes. i think Joe at MOT was clearing out OEM 16" steel rims for like $48:

I got the 15" original Mazda rims packaged into the car deal. The appropriate tire size is 195/65R15. The slightly narrower tire is better on snow. Also, the winter tires will cost about $160 less than the 16". So will be fine for the 3 months that I need them.

I have the same car (2011 GX Sport) and would like to know if a set of 205/60R15 winter tires will fit (friend of mine is selling an unneeded set).

I called Mazda of Toronto, they said they would, and Scarboro Mazda said 'maybe, depending on the rim you get, a 2009 rim should work'.

I do not, in any way, care about the appearance of these winter rims, I just want to know if there will be enough space for brake and wheel well clearance with these tires.

The GX has smaller brakes so fitment is not an issue in this case. Tire size might be off spec wise but shouldn't be an issue.

Found this link: http://1010tires.com/TireSizeCalculator.asp shows how far off-spec the tires/rims will be.

In my case it was very small (<3%).

15" on a GX?? My 2010 GX came with 16". Are these 15" alloys on your 2011 GX?

is the TPMS on the rims? or on the car?
same situation

looking to swap into 15inch steelies. I guess from the thread, 15 steelies should fit no problem.

TPMS does not play a factor in the Mazda 3's in Canada. Not until the 2012 model year.

I think the price for the 16" Mazda OEM steelies is $55 each, they can get you 15" ones too.

I just bought one a few minutes ago. Drove to Orangeville to pick it up but worth it. I bought 17 inch steelies off kijiji from a mazda 6 for $40. It was in good shape just a little bit of black re-paint and its goof to go (it matches my 17 inch snow tires I had on my focus SVT).

Hello,
I have a GX sport, and I was wondering if the wagons also have downgraded brakes on the 2L as well?
Or was this just a sedan thing?

Thanks

Aw man!

Good news: save on tires
Bad news: can't stop.
