View Full Version : Driving instructor with Mazda3 in Milton
Hello,
Maybe I'm asking for too much.. but does anyone know a good driving instructor in Milton with a Mazda 3? I've seen a few around town... Someone needs a few lessons/tips and the car for the road test.
Thanks!

The one I have seen and know people who have had him, is Marco with Young Drivers. I believe he drives the black Mazda 3.
That was fast! Any chance of getting his phone number? :)

Sicsol on this board is a driving instructor and lives in Milton.
Why does it have to be a mazda3??
Cause he'd hate driving after learning how-to with a Corolla, Kia Sephia, Chev Cobalt... {all of which I have driven, including previously owning a 2007 Civic sedan}
If you want to learn, you gotta do it right. Zoom-Zoom way!!! :gone

you shouldn't use mazda3 for road test...
use corolla, sephia, cobalt so you won't have to worry about going over speed limit.

The Civic, IMO, isn't any less fun to drive than a Mazda3. The 3 probably handles a bit better but the Civic feels just as quick, and even a tiny bit more upscale. Interior materials felt a little nicer. Also, automatic Mazda3s aren't really much fun to drive either.
Also, looking for "fun to drive" in a Driver's Ed car? Are you kidding me? I did driver's ed on an older Cavalier and my dad taught me to drive in the old family Grand Caravan, and I love driving. In fact, it's probably better to learn on something different than you end up buying so you have some idea of what different cars feel like.

+1, I've driven 5 different cars in the 4 years I've had my license. It's not necessary but like RTEnthusiast said, it really gives you a feel for how cars are different. For this reason, I kind of want to try driving something bigger, I think it'd be interesting since the biggest thing I've driven is a midsize sedan :|

I've been out of the Young Driver's scene for a bit, forgive me :P
Sebi, you might be able to get a number if you call the Milton Young Driver's office. Sorry I can't be of more help.
Thanks for the replies! Actually she's driving our car, but she failed the road test twice... it's manual, so one time they start yelling at her "are you trying to kill me?!" on a left turn, the second time because she stayed in the left lane too long after a left-hand turn.
Long story short, she wants an auto for the road test and a few tips :)

In my experience the Civic sedan doesn't handle corners as well as my current Mazda 3. Both were auto, so I can tell that the Civic auto was more refined transmission wise, but the chassis wasn't as sturdy, especially around corners.
The suspension was more cushioned, and for that, it was good, but it's not sporty as my 3. The ride is just that better [on the 3 IMO], enough to be mentioned.
Interior materials do feel more upscale on the Civic, you are right.
However, the Civic is a 2006 redesign, while the the 3 is a 2004. Not that many years difference, but enough to account for the improvements in the Civic.
Civic is better on fuel, but not enough in my case. A full tank Civic used to get me around 425-470km mainly city, my 3 gets around 410ish (at best).
As for the original OP post, if you want to drive in a Mazda3, then go for it! I did my G2 with a 2000 Corolla, then my G with the 07 Civic.
It's all about the driver, good luck!
