View Full Version : Decrease the vibration at ignition?
Hello everyone,
I noticed that my car has a noticeable amount of vibration when I am starting the car, specifically the engine area. On occasion its smooth as butter, other times, it's quite rough
Engine mounts are all in good shape,
any ideas to decreasing the amount of vibration? Maybe pursue aftermarket mounts?
Your suggestions are welcome

Thank you

By this do you mean the engine will flex at start up? or there is vibration until the rpms drop down at idle?

Yes, I mean the engine will flex at start-up.. or at least that's what I feel from the engine compartment.

Well.. it should flex when it starts a bit, or when you rev it, the only way to prevent any engine movement at all is to replace the mounts with the aftermarket options, however and I did this on my last car, when or if you do this the engine mounts no longer absorb the vibration from the engine but put it through the frame of the car so at idle the engine wont flex but your car will feel the vibration and once you start driving it will subside a bit.
