Been servicing my car with Mazda of Brampton since my purchase. I have dealt with only two service advisors, Carson and Bruce. Both are stand up guys and always comment on my car every time I have brought it in for service.

They really are great guys and I have nothing but nice things to say about them. Always honest and straight forward with issues and concerns.

Anyone who is skeptical about MoB's service department should really try them out. Nothing but smiles from me and I'll be going back for my next service.

Hope they read this, they derserve the recognition for providing great customer service.

Cheers,
Hit

Couldn`t agree more. I have taken my car there for the past 5 years now. I only deal with Bruce and he is a great guy. :thumbsup
Never had any major problems with MoB.

Bruce is a good guy. Everyone else is full of shit.
I try to avoid Brampton Mazda at all costs.

How is Carson and Bruce being nice guys make Mazda of Brampton Servicing good? They are just service advisers who do the papers work. They don't work on the cars. What makes a service department good is the quality of the mechanics and the values of the dealership.

I have never got my car serviced from Mazda of Brampton since I bought it in 2009 because of my painful purchase experience and members service related problems. Mazda of Brampton's philosophy is short-term profit maximization rather than customer satisfaction. It is unlikely a dealership with such values would operate a customer focus service department. You will find out it's true nature when you have a serious issue.

True, they are only service advisors, but they've treated me well since I started bringing my car in for service. I can't complain until I have a serious issue. I guess I should have titled the thread a little better.

I'm with you on the Sales department though, my sales experience was pretty painful too.

I got my car serviced at Mazda of Brampton for the first time today, the service advisors was ok. The mechanic I had reminded me of a coworker from work. He was very irritable.. it was so hard communicating with him and telling him what my problem was. On our drive around he kept cutting me off whenever I try to talk to him. He was talking down on me like I was some sort of weirdo thats been hearing "strange noises". I understand he only had about 2 hours to go before their closing time, but at least show a little courtesy.

He fixed the problem, I asked what could have caused it so that maybe I could avoid it or be more careful about it... He didn't feel like talking or suggesting anything, he just did a little hand gesture thing.. mumbled and grumbled something with a bunch of "I don't knows".

Overall it was a pretty terrible experience for me.. Are all dealership mechanics this cranky? I've been to other auto service shops and I never leave with a feeling of punching someone in the face..

My experience with MoB is not as much of sunshines and butterflies as you say.
The true test of the quality of service both from the techs and the advisors is when there is a problem.

The advisors:
Bruce is little to no help when there is a problem because he doesn't try to. Any polite questioning of their "policies" results in a passive aggressive attitude.
Ex1: My foglight didn't turn on. he wanted to charge me labour to "investigate" while I was still under warratny.

Idris
Ex1: I got my car back from service with the paint scratched. When I brought it up, he pretty much told me to go f-myself. I had to get take it to the service manager to get it repainted.

Carson tries to help but I get the feeling has his hands tied at times. While I was servicing my 3, I only went to Carson. 1 Ex: A few clips on my sideskirts popped off and I asked him if ia tech could come out to fix it. (they have the tool to pop the tabs easily). He asked the tech to come fix it for free and didn't charge me the minimum 30 mins labour.

The Techs:
I've had my car returned to me with trash / dirty interior. Paint scratched. Not in a timley manner. never top up my fluids etc..

Overall Quality of Service: 5/10

^^ Thats crazy.

I guess I've been lucky so far. I've never had to deal with any kind of attitude or had major problems with them.

The only issue I've ever had was with my headlight condensation. Some how, 1 of the 2 headlights they ordered were the wrong type. So I had to go back a second time so the repair(under warranty of course) could be done. Then, I noticed that my right-side HID had lower output with the new headlight. Took it back and they put in a new ballast.

The entire time, they were apologetic to me and never charged for the rentals. I even got a credit on my account for my second oil change because of the back and forth.

Yah, it's really difficult to create a review or a rating on service when there was no hitch to begin with. The REAL test to the quality of work and commitment to customer service is when something goes wrong.

Ex: Short story from SimplyTire. I bought winter wheels from Allen which I didn't find out were out of balance until 1 year later (due to slow city driving). He first told me he would rebalance FOR FREE. Then told me that the wheels were junk and gave me brand new ones FOR FREE.

Ex: Service and Tech's at Audi Mississauga. Dealership policy is that they do not give out loaner cars unless you bought the car from them which I did not. I had my car in for warranty work that required a few days. The advisor went above and beyond to get me an A4 loaner after speaking to the manager. topped up my engine coolant, braking fluid, engine oil etc for free at the same time.

haha... Audi Mississauga and Owasco Audi are like the MoT of TM3.
Audi Mississauga has an active member in sales (similar to Jeff)
Owasco has an active member in parts with discount :) (similar to Joe)

Topping up the engine oil was a nice surprise since they usually charge for it. Most likely because it wasn't much missing.
When I check the dipstick and it's low I usually buy my oil from the dealer cause it's about 25 cents cheaper than anywhere else.. LOL. that and the service advisor pours it in for me.... Not that it's a difficult thing, but it's these niceities that count.
