RPM Question

I have a 2010 Mazda 3 with around 45,000 K on it and I bought it around 40,000, My question is when going down a big hill or even if I take my foot off the gas the rpms stay the same as if my foot was still on the gas (car does slow).... This is my first Mazda so I am not sure if this is normal, just going on other cars I have drove usually drop rpms....

Mine decreases but that may be because i drive a manual transmission. The best thing to do is to go test drive one and see if it does the same thing.
