MAF Sensor

I need to replace the MAF Sensor Harness. Anyone have a spare? Or no where I can get one without having to get the part from Mazda directly?

Found a scrap yard that has one but they want $93 for the wiring and harness.

The wiring has come apart a few times now (thanks to my CAI) and the last soldering attempt burnt some of the plastic in the harness. Now I cant reach the connector :flaming

At this point, I just need a new plug in with some wire so I can just connect the existing wire to the sensor and have some wire leeway so it isnt stressed.

Let me know if anyone has one, or the best place to get one....

same thing happened to my mazda3's harness. that damn wire is so brittle.

i just unplugged the harness from the MAF sensor, cut each wire at the harness, and pitched it. i crimped some female connectors onto the wires, plugged those into the sensor, and taped them up. never had a problem again.

altho, i think the scrap yard is the best bet. when i called mazda, they wanted something ridicolous like $400 for the entire harness.

How much are the MAF's new from dealer (w/o harness?)

Thanks guys - My brother picked up a sensor for me from a scrap yard - they wanted $93. Mazda quoted my brother a few hundred (Think he said it was three something) for the harness.

Ugh - but shes getting fixed today so all is well again (I hope?).

I guess that's the sensor alone. Not including the wiring

the 99-03 protege 1.6l connector fits... more proteges around than 3s... if you need to replace just 1 wire, just buy the repair kit from mazda instead
