Hey guys, I am having this issue on my 2010 speed 3.
I notice this one whenever I go to Tim Horton's and it bugs me, and it may be worse when I use the windows more in the summer.
-As soon as I start to roll down the window, I feel the whole door move, as if the window inside is pushing it in some way, and I feel the door flex when closing as well, as the window is seating at the top.
-If I close my door with the window partially open, it makes a god-awful noise as the whole pane shakes and makes me think it may break eventually.
-When partially open, I can move side to side (actually towards the front then back of car) and there is about 1/2" of play. The window will also move and vibrate a bit when driving with windows half open.
Does anyone else notice this and does it bug you like me? Could they have screwed something up when putting the tint on? It also happens on the passenger window, but it isn't bad on the rear ones as they are smaller and seem to be held better into the car.
Thanks a lot,
James
Apparently it's "normal" on all sport models.
I've address this issue as soon as I noticed, which was weeks after ownership, and since then they haven't been able to alleviate the issue. They even tried replacing the mechanism in my front doors without any improvement. This happens with the CX7 as well...

I've noticed all of the above on my 2010 mz3 both pre and post tint.
Awesome description btw -- drives me nuts (I make sure to roll up/down the windows before opening/closing any doors).

I had this happen to my previous car (2000 Acura Integra)
The issue was the window was not sitting properly between the seams. I think its called seams. Its what holds the windows together. If it seems like the window is pushing against the door, this might be the case where the window is not seated properly.
When I closed my door when the window was not closed would make a clacking noise like it was loose and hitting against metal. Do it too many times and I heard the window shatters, :bang

Glad I'm not the only one with this same issue

Well its too bad that this is part of the design. Another annoyance, the outside of the window does not rub on the weatherstripping when rolled down, therefore all dirt on my window goes into the door, and I cannot roll down my windows as a way of "defogging" them. They seem to go up and down mainly untouched, which has never been the case on any of my previous cars.

I have the same issue with the window shaking when closing the door, but I believe mine actually rubs the weatherstripping (I notice that after washing my car, if I roll my window down it leaves streaks after I roll them up...). But yeah, the shaking thing worries me that it's going to shatter one day...

My windows rattle around too when down in my '08 sedan, very annoying.
