Now to ANYONE rolling fenders on the 2010:

BEWARE!!!

The inner and outer sheet body panels on the new 3 are not welded together like on all the other cars on the road.

There is a bead of silicone that connects the 2 pieces of sheet metal which I thought was a seam weld. So when I started to roll the fender the silicone came apart from the heat of the heat gun and the pressure of the roller. By the time I was done the rear inner sheet metal was rolled up, and the outer sheet metal was pushed out. The car ends up with a slight flare in the rear but a smooth roll on the inside. So I had to re-silicone the entire inner fender, as well as I had to repaint the inner fender because the factory paints over the silicone so when the silicone comes off there is no paint there, it's fully E-coated though but it just looks stupid. So after I was done with the silicone and it dried tack free, I sprayed rubberized under-spray over the silicone (because the silicone was clear and it looked stupid, I couldn't find black silicone or I wouldn't have painted).

The total time for this job was about 4 hours + waiting for stuff to dry. This was really nerve racking for me because when I started rolling and stuff started falling off the car I was loosing it. I thought I wrecked my car and what did I do. So a special thanks to McGuyver_3 (we rolled his speed3 the same day) and Phil05gx for helping me out and keeping me sane, and thanks again Phil for returning the fender roller for me. You guys are the best.

Mods Please sticky so people know what they are getting into.

Thanks.

Wow. Leave it to Mazda to cut corners on production. Paint over silicone? Really? That's such a hack job, especially for a manufacture.

Glad you added the underbody coating. That should give you peace of mind. As for your wheels - is the issue corrected? Rubbing completely gone?
Also are you considering on lowering it anytime in the future or your still headstrong on keeping it stock?

The 255's will not rub the car anymore, the suspension can fully cycle and they "would rub" if you remove the bumpstops. I also had to do a little fender liner trimming as well.
