Different tyes of DDM BALLAST ??

Hey everyone, I have been ordering DDM for quiet some time and the ones i have look like this.

To be honest, does it really matter to you? I mean as long as they work the way they are supposed to. Unless of course someone is pawning them off as DDM and they are not.

Are you buying them from the same supplier you have always bought them from? They could be knock offs/replicas but who knows.


I would just email DDM and ask them.

I just did a quick google search and some images came up. Maybe DDM updated the casting?

ya, i think they did, but the rep said this

"Hi Michael, There difference between the two sets of ballasts is their wattage. The first picture is 35w ballasts. The second picture is 55w ballasts. We changed the mold so the ballasts have a different look, but all the same performance."

I got the DDM's for my fogs and they look like the second pic. They are 35W though.

cool, they probably just changed the casting. not sure
