Any one know where I can find one in stock ready for pickup?
Nextmod doesn't have one, and spoke to the Corksport Dealers....
I have a track day on Friday and would like to get this in before then (need to complete tuning with my Access Port before then)

Thanks!

Don't know anyone that keeps these on-hand but I'm curious as to why you need the TIP for your track day? What other mods do you have?

I am still running the stock "pancaked" inlet pipe with intake, tmic, dp, bpv and have not seen the need for a TIP in my car.

I'm running a Stage2 Map and have read that its best to have the TIP along with the other mods I have. I would like to get my MAF calibration done before friday so I can feel somewhat safe in running the Stage2 Map.

MS CAI, Test Pipe, Catback Exhaust. I haven't run enough logging to see if i'm OK running the stage2 with only a test pipe vs a DP.... so I may go down to the stock map if I see anything amiss.

Looks like I will run without the TIP for now as I can't find anyone local that actually has one in stock.

Your mods listed are Stage 1. A Test Pipe+Catback doesn't warrant a stage 2 map, it's the down pipe itself that is the main restriction.

Calibrate your MAF regardless, it is easy enough to do one now and after you get a TIP. If you don't already have AccessTuner Race, request it from Cobb (http://accessecu.com/register/cobb.php) as it takes 24 hours to get the link emailed to you.

With stock K04, you don't absolutely need a TIP... I'm able to hit 280 g/s mass airflow in 16C weather (http://img842.imageshack.us/img842/7343/wot4thstreet61famb.jpg) with stock TIP. IMO, a bigger TMIC or FMIC would be of greater benefit than a TIP.

I did the TIP when I bought my CAI as my first mods...since I did them both at the same time I don't know how much (if any) gains I got from the TIP. Considering that the stock piece is REALLY restrictive (seriously it's only like an inch wide at the bend) ... I'd imagine it's a worth while mod.

I got a cp-e one from edgeautosport.com and the guy J.P. there was very helpful and made sure shipping up to Canada was nice and cheap. Highly recommended.

while i agree that the stock inlet pipe is restrictive in terms of causing a pressure restriction into the turbo compressor, it isn't going to give a massive increase in horsepower.

if anything, it will smooth out boost response and the turbo may not have to work as hard to achieve boost targets...but then the efficiency limit of the stock K04 may be reached sooner with less inlet pressure restriction.

if the OP is looking for MOAR POWA NAO, this isn't the mod to achieve that goal. put the money towards a down pipe (one from Ultimate Racing will fit the bill since the OP already has a test pipe) and really gain more power and torque.

not really looking for more power, rather more reliability...esp running high RPM's on the track. I have spoken to some other MS6 guys and i'm going down to a Stage1 map and doing the MAF calc's etc from there for now. I will order a Corksport TIP and wait for that...as well as new HPFP internals.

I am not sure I want to go to a DP. The adventure of taking the rusted nuts/bolts off the stock DP is more than what I want to do now. I just spent a couple days doing my rear diff mounts, RSB etc and the car has seen CDN winters so some stuff was a PITA to deal with...unless I pay someone else to do the install.

i just installed my TIP after running a CAI and Testpipe for 2 seasons.....very minimal increase in power if any, however you make the power you make a lot sooner....basically you spool quicker and more smoothly and you definitely hear the high pitched whistle of the turbo more than before. I bought mine used for $40....definitely worth it. My .02
