Well im not surprised it happened in Toronto.
It was on the 427 just before the on ramp to the 401 west.

Advice please, can this be straightened or should i just buy a new rim?

Buy a new wheel, those r like 150 each : )

Fixing bent or broken wheels isnt a good idea.

Union rim repair (near Yorkdale mall) can fix that; probably less than 100

Well the real questions is whether or not repair it or just buy a new one.
Like sideways said its only about a 150-175 dollar rim

You can "visibly" fix the dent. But you can't always make the wheel straight. I would get a new one, especially for that price.

i bet you would save your self a lot of trouble if you bought a new wheel... it sucks spending the money but im sure you would be more happy with it down the road

for that price i think it's better to just get a new rim. if you're set on fixing it, i can vouch for union rim repair, (default user referred me) they did a pretty good job. but it'll cost you nearly a new rim so just keep that in mind. (that is if they fix the bend then refinish it, without the refinish it will probably be less than 100 like default user said

Buy a new rim and keep that as a spare. It'll probably save you some headaches like tire leaking, rim not balancing, etc.

- It can be fixed
- There is nothing wrong with fixing a bend like that
- It will likely cost close to a new wheel

I'd replace the wheel given the cost of the rim. If it was a $800 Volk wheel, then that would be different.

On the 427 going south when the two lanes for the 401 west, just south of the 409 on the 2nd lane from the right

Can't remember if you bought new or used.. but do you recall if you bought a warranty to cover this? this could be covered.

Reminder to file for reimbursement with the city for the damaged wheel, labour, and tire (as it could be damaged by the impact).
