There isn't really a dedicated thread towards the fitment of these rims. If your lowered, then 225/40/18 is recommended. However, if your not lowered you can go with 225/45/18 to fill in the wheel gap a little more.

225/40/18 will keep your speedo exactly since it's the stock height... 225/45/18 will through your speedo off

Yes I will lower my car so I guess I'll go with 225/40/18. This may be a noob question but I shouldnt have any surprises with rims 18x8 and 5 bolt right?

oh frig man you can't do 5 bolt on these cars, you need at least 7-9..haha j/k...If your looking at stock rx8 rims you'll have no problem whatsoever on these cars, they have the perfect specs for the mazda 3

Will I need a spacer if I drop only 1.5" in the back and 1,8" in the front?

Only if you want to be flush with your fenders. Otherwise no spacers are needed.

IF there are as brand new as he says they are and been on the car for only 2 weeks. cuz i have seen some 2004 rims asking for 700$. I offered him 850$.

+1

I got mine for $500 with tires (albeit quite used), a bit of scratches and rash, not bad at all.

Please don't pay $850 for regular speed rims...

$600 to $700 max if they are really are brand new (usually they are worth $500+/- or so). no one will buy them at $900 or $800 so you dont have to worry about it being sold to someone else, especially when it doesnt even include tires. but if you are willing to spend the cash, and dont care about whether its a good deal or not then got for it, no one can stop you.

$850 for RX8 Rims is way too much. If you are patient, you can find a set for under $650 and that often times would even include tires.

If you have money to throw around, go right ahead and pick them up. He's asking waay too much. For $850, I'd get a set of aftermarket ones.

If you can be patient, a set wil almost certainly pop up on the classifieds here or kijiji for a good price... I wouldn't be surprised if you see a set or two for sale within the month.
