Car: Mazda3 Sedan
Tires: 225/40/18 Falken 912
Wheels Tenzo Type M V2
Springs: Eibach Prokits
Camber Kit: SPC Rear Camber Kit

The story:

Got Falken 912's on my Tenzo's ran then for 2 summers, i have steelies that i use in winter. My normal tire switch time is around end of March

Within those 2 seasons the tires have seemed to wear out unevenly, i had crazy wear on the inner part of all 4 tires. For those of you who have the Falkens, you know there is a tread indicator which is a indented square. The outer sides of my tire were fine on the indicator, whereas the inside indicator had worn out, you could barely see the
square.

Last weekend i went to Exclusive Wheel and Tire and met with John, got myself some new Yokahama S.Drives. John advised i should get the alignment checked as the Falkens were worn on the insides.

Today i had an alignment done at Level Auto, and looking at the print out i see for the most part the alignment was ok. The only thin which stood out to me was the TOE on the rigt side of the car both on front and rear, these were both out of spec. Other than that minor changes to the alignment.

So the million dollar question? What is responsible for the insane tire wear? Can you attribute wear on all four tires JUST to the toe on the right side? Or is there something more to the story?

I dont drive like a race car driver nor do i take my turns fast, i'm just an average driver.

I am determined to get to the root cause.

I will be posting up my alignment spec printout shortly along with pictures of individual tires.

In the mean time give me your best bets as to why this could happen :)

These cars will cause it.

Last summer I took mine in for an aligment after I lowered it and had brand new BFG tires and this year when I installed them back on my tires had in even wear.. This is the second set of tires that this happened to.. Now their loud it pisses me off.

My sister inlaws car is stock height and same thing with hers

What PSI are you running? Are you at stock 32 PSI?

Did you ever get an alignment after the pro kits/camber kit were installed?

Air pressure was kept at 32. i did not get an alignment last season. I still need to post the pics and my alignment sheet, but based on my little knowledge on alignments i don't think the alignment was sooo out of wack that it would wear out all 4 tires on the inner sides

Toe kills tires and apparently ZE912s wear funny. Mine are a little weird too.

Should really rotate tires. If you look at the alignment spec sheet it's usually at camber -1.5 or so which indicates a slight angle which leads to inner tire wear. Rotate.

Toe will definitely kill tires faster than negative camber.

+1 One season they were good and the following year they turned to crap. Even with a camber kit and alignments done every spring.
