Car: Mazda3 Sedan
Tires: 225/40/18 Falken 912
Wheels Tenzo Type M V2
Springs: Eibach Prokits
Camber Kit: SPC Rear Camber Kit
The story:
Got Falken 912's on my Tenzo's ran then for 2 summers, i have steelies that i use in winter. My normal tire switch time is around end of March
Within those 2 seasons the tires have seemed to wear out unevenly, i had crazy wear on the inner part of all 4 tires. For those of you who have the Falkens, you know there is a tread indicator which is a indented square. The outer sides of my tire were fine on the indicator, whereas the inside indicator had worn out, you could barely see the
square.
Last weekend i went to Exclusive Wheel and Tire and met with John, got myself some new Yokahama S.Drives. John advised i should get the alignment checked as the Falkens were worn on the insides.
Today i had an alignment done at Level Auto, and looking at the print out i see for the most part the alignment was ok. The only thin which stood out to me was the TOE on the rigt side of the car both on front and rear, these were both out of spec. Other than that minor changes to the alignment.
So the million dollar question? What is responsible for the insane tire wear? Can you attribute wear on all four tires JUST to the toe on the right side? Or is there something more to the story?
I dont drive like a race car driver nor do i take my turns fast, i'm just an average driver.
I am determined to get to the root cause.
I will be posting up my alignment spec printout shortly along with pictures of individual tires.
In the mean time give me your best bets as to why this could happen :)
