Im looking for budget and longevity, then grip. dont care much for road noise

What 215/40/18 tires would you recommend out of this selection?CLICK (http://www.wheelsnext.com/default-home-packages-action-dspTiresPackages-brand-Motegi%2520Racing-model-MR122-color-Machined%20w/%20Black-tiresize-18-tirewidth-8-tpp-H%2BY%3D-pp-F%2B7U1Q%3D%3D.htm)

Side Question: Anyone have 18in Motegi Racing MR122 rims? They have the same bolt pattern as our 3s right?

Why are you going for 215/40R18 instead of the more commonly used 225/40R18? (both in terms of use on MZ3 as well as manufacturing)

One of the tires I was originally looking at in the 225/40R18 category were Yokohama AVID ENVigors (http://www.1010tires.com/tire.asp?tirebrand=Yokohama&tiremodel=AVID+ENVigor) - Overall good ratings, and an enormous 560 UTQG score. Also a good buy; $620 for a set from SimplyTire.

(I went with Hankook k110s in the end, though)

EDIT: Okay, I didn't realise 215/40R18 also fell within spec. Still, I think you'll have a larger tire selection if you use 225s instead, though.

Agreed with Fuyuzora...you should be looking at 225/40/18

would that mean I would have to increase my rims choice width? also I was given the advise that I should stay below 9". With 225 I would meet 9" exactly

How wide are the wheels?
You can use 225 tires anywhere from 7-8.5" wide.

Okay, They are 8" so I guess I'll be fine then. Still collecting oppinions on what tire to get, again Im looking for budget and longevity, then grip. road noise isnt a factor

Heard good things about the Yokohama AVID Envigor as well as the Continental ExtremeContact DWS (Although I've heard from someone at Atlas tire that the DWS because its an all-weather tire is a bit louder than normal - also heard that u can make it through even the winter months because the traction in the snow is so good) and they both have decent treadlife ratings 560 for the Envigor and 540 for the DWS, meaning u should get 70,000 Kms out of both (of course dependent on ur driving)

I'd have to agree that you should probably go for the Yokohama Avid Envigor's.
