I thought I'd put up a quick review on the service I had/was supposed to have today.

Originally had an appointment with Kieswetter but since Forbes is closer to my office/home I switched it to over there. Friendly and patient with all my questions, and also the first place to actually acknowledge the fact there was an issue with my 2008.5 stereo(bass fading). So already I was more impressed than with the other places in Kitchener Waterloo. The scale of work was my 40k service, power-steering recall, and my lights to be looked at. Dropped off the car at 11, and I needed it by 4:30. Later on I phoned in to see if I could get it earlier to have more time to make it to my appointment so I had it switched to 4:15 which "wasn't a problem". Running late to pick it up, at 4:17 I received a call on the road from them saying the car wouldn't be ready for 4:30 because they just pulled it in, it will be done by sometime after 5. I thought it was odd he brought up 4:30 so I'm assuming my phone call wasn't passed on. Anyway I told him that was no good, I need the car now pretty much. I was disappointed that I got pushed back after stressing that I needed it by that time, and also that now I was going to be late for my appointment too waiting for it.

Anyway, they totally surprised me by covering the cost of the service; something I doubt Guelph City would have done when I was with them. And when they pulled the car out, with everything done but the recall, I got another surprise of a freshly cleaned car :D.

I'm still a bit annoyed that this recall still isn't done, but these days you rarely get treatment like that. I walked in there fully expecting to pay full price, be late for work, and have another day without my car. If they hadn't of done anything, I might have gone back with Kieswetter Mazda. I say might because I still think I would rate them better than the other mazdas here.

Even though this was my first visit to forbes I still recommend them since they actually look after their customers and know their stuff better. Mistakes happen and I'm impressed they made an effort to make up for it.

Time will tell how future services will go over though.
But for now :headbang yay Forbes!

For the most part the place is pretty solid, the waiting room is ghetto as shit though.

haha I didn't think it was too bad. The TV was on so I didn't notice it I guess.

They are doing an expansion too now. Crazy busy and cramped because of it.

Gotta agree with sol_searchin haha... If there's more than 2 people in the waiting room... It can get pretty crowded. I really like Forbes though :)

Thank you for your understanding and patience Mitchell, I have recently taken over as Service Manager here at Forbes, and truly apologize for what could be termed a bad day for us. We strive to look after our customers at a level higher than other dealers, but occasionally (and especially with the current renovation status) things get a bit behind. We look forward to helping you out in any way we can in the future!

Thanks again
