Hey all,

recently the h/u has been acting up. after a drive home from downtown (about 1hr), the power button won't power off the unit? it does shut off after pulling the key out. sometimes it would return to normal when I head back out to work, but today it was the same. other times the scan down button won't work (not that I use it often) but still it's strange the button functions have gremlins.:(

any thoughts?

edit: should mention it's an 06 GT

no one has had any buttons on their OEM HU suddenly stop working without any apparent cause?

I'd suggest checking the harness maybe it's gotten itself loose. Other than that my only other thought would be inside the unit itself.

Any chance someone spilt something on it. Odd place I know but I once had to replace a HU because of an exploding pop.

nope, no liquids got on it, I'm a freak about her cleanliness. it's very very frustrating random buttons stop reacting at random times. I was starting to think it was heat related, because the ones that stop working in the day (full sun in driveway) work after I get my car out of the parkade after finishing work - but not always, only once in a while that symptom occurs...

grrr.... I dont' have a budget to buy another H/U, trying to get Satt as there's onle sh*t on the radio

so today, the eject wouldn't f'n work all the way to work, I just pulled my girl outta the parkade, and was able to load B.E.P. back into it. at least I can listen to something for a while...

I'd put a wanted add in the classified section. I'm sure theres lots of ppl on here that are willing to get rid if the stock H.U

Buy a deck. You'll see how OEM sucks donkey balls. You won't look back.

nah, been there, done that... If a put a LOC on my subs right now, I'd rattle the my3 to pieces. She sounds better than I ever expected as she is, and I don't want to lose the functionality of the display.
