HIDS = Radio static?

So yeah, I installed my HID lights and now my radio reception doesnt seem as good. On stations that were clear I get static now.

I know my grounds are good as their on the fram on one side and the headlight assembly on the other. For the power source I attached it direct to the terminal on the battery. Advice?

Re-do your grounds.

Make sure it's metal to metal contact. Try using some rubbing alcohol to get off any oil, grease, rustproof, etc off.

depending on where you put everything, for the driver side, try a spot facing forward (of the car) same area as the headlight assembly, kind of halfway down from teh top of the hood.

kind of hard to describe...not sure if that makes sense...if you look down over the hold between the headlight assembly and everything (obviously with that plastic cover for the batter vent off) you'll see where some factory grounds are.


I'll try to take a picture of mine. it seemed like a pretty good spot for me.
