Not sure how to describe this...
After getting my power steering pump changed for the recall a few months back, when I accelerate hard I get this, what sounds like, air whistling.
It's not from the SRI. That has a minor suck/whistle sound when you hit the pedal and I have changed filters to test it as well. I know what that sounds like.
This starts when you are accelerating hard and continues. It makes a certain sequence of noise (almost akin to a tiny chain rattle or whistle) and does the exact same series of sounds each time you hit the pedal hard.
This does not happen when in park and revving the engine. Only when I am driving.
Any ideas? I haven't been back to the dealership yet because I was hoping it was going to go away. But it seems to only have gotten worse.
It happened right after having the Power Steering fluid pump replaced. I noticed it when I was heading home but thought it would clear up after a while.
It never did.
