View Full Version : Any in dash units that work with the BT function on steering wheel? 2011 mazda 3 GS

I am going to install a in dash gps unit over the factory unit. Preferebly a Caska unit, but i was wondering if i will loose my bluetooth steering wheel controls.

It depends on the head unit your putting in. For Sony, Pioneer, and JVC you will loose the controls.

In about three months there will be a new adapter released that works with steering wheel controls for BT for Pioneer.

i was thinking about one of those OEM style units like the one from Caska or the one they sell at the dealership for like $1500 installed which looks like a Caska anyway

If u wanna stay the OEM way and still have the steering wheel controls..then thats the best way u can go with..like caska or the dealership one...

even on those units the steering wheel BT controls due not work.

Plus for $1500 (and I'm biased) your not getting much.

For less than that you can get a z130bt plus all if the accessories and it's one of if not the best nav headunit available.

Agreed for $1500 I would go with something similar to the Z130BT...though my unit was only $600

Yeah that was a nice and clean looking audio system. Very sleek! Good choice......
