I'm looking to get a car deck for my 2006 GT.

I'm hoping to be able to use USB, aux and cd player.
Also, I hope that the steering wheel controls would still work.

My price range around 200 or less.

Anyone have any suggestions? :D:D

If you want to continue to use the steering wheel control and you must buy the adaptor.

I got Alpine cda- 117 and it does everything you want... A little pricy but awesome deck

How much did that deck cost?

I went in to Futureshop today and they gave me the option of just getting an aux adapter.
It was $50 for the installation and $50 for the parts.

I thought i'd give it a go since I really wanted to keep the steering wheel functions, but after they installed it, the sound quality was EXTREMELY horrible. The aux in runs through an FM channel, so it was SO fuzzy and full of static noise.

The specialist told me to go back on Monday and buy a deck, then I also have to pay the difference for the installation fee.
I honestly think it's completely ridiculous that I have to go through all this because the Sales associate told me that the system will be flawless and it'll work good. And after an hour of waiting, plus they had to drill a hole inside my glove compartment for the wiring to go through, I end up with the crappiest sounds.

I'm pretty unhappy right now -_- So i'd be more than happy to listen to any suggestions right now!

You usually get what you pay for, go cheap and you get cheap period. If you cannot afford a decent head unit then forget it, or you are destined to be more unhappy than you are now.
BTW don't you have another thread about buying a car with a bunch of interior rips that you also want to fix up cheap. You are going to find in the long run cheap and cars don't go together.

Pat.

Selective Sound is having a sale in a few weeks. So far the prices for some basic stuff is awesome.
In general, Davis and his team are great to deal with and WILL do a great job.
I got my speakers from there, as well as my amp. When there was an issue with my original amp, he was there to fix and replace the unit right away.

Should have waited for my PM...the CP50 sucks huge...who ever recommend that should have recommend the $100 Ipod cable one. There is not static on it, but still does run on FM.

Deck wise without spending a huge amount of money just get the JVC620 for $140...if you wanted to spend the extra money and go to the Pioneer 7300bt or Kenwood 648u..Both those two decks will add blue tooth.

With any of the decks you will have to add the $130 steering wheel control adapter, $30 for a dash kit and $18 for a wiring harness. Keep in mind not every deck can retain steering wheel controls, so choose wisely if you wanted to keep them.

You can get the GTA Car kits module for $90. That gives you an Aux jack and an iPod connection. Works with the stock deck and the steering wheel controls work with it. Very easy to install too.

I only had one issue with it, but I think it was just because I hadn't fully connected the jack to my mp3 player. You're more than welcome to have a look at mine and test it out.

Just got this deck (from TheMaterial)

http://www.futureshop.ca/en-CA/product/pioneer-pioneer-mp3-wma-cd-player-with-bluetooth-and-aux-input-deh-7300bt-deh-7300bt/10166324.aspx?path=9440b320b47cdbdcd96ea992ba8eb1a 0en02&lid=fp-10166324-pioneerpioneermp3wmacdplayerwi-en

couldnt be happier. Flawless ipod and iphone control, charges it, and great bluetooth system. Once you figure out how to work it its perfection.
Also it goes on sale like every other week so its only about $140-150.
GREAT deck, highly recommended.

I put this deck (http://www.futureshop.ca/en-CA/product/jvc-jvc-mp3-wma-cd-car-deck-with-bluetooth-ipod-control-kw-xr810-kw-xr810/10137920.aspx?path=b2a625cfd24cd59aecaf5cf377e5869 4en02) in my minivan last winter. It was $229 plus I bought the steering wheel adapter for $50. I know it's a little more than you want to spend, but the hands-free bluetooth and bluetooth audio streaming are great! You can choose any colour you want for the display.

Thanks for all the advice guys! I ended up getting a GTA car kit from Vitaliy.

http://www.torontomazda3.ca/forum/showthread.php?54950-Special-discount-for-TM3-members-on-iPod-iPhone-integration!!!&p=793248

It costs me only $90. I was able to instal it myself and it took less then 20 minutes!
Now, I'm able to get aux, ipod input and above all, I was able to keep my steering wheel controls!
