What type of entry amp would you suggest for our car? I have a 2007 GS Sedan and just installed some GTO 8628 JBLs in the front and will be installing a set of Pioneer TS-A6872R in the rear.
First of all, do you think I need an additional amp?
Thanks.

What do you mean an additional amp? Do you have one already? If you don't have an amp, look for 4channel amp or a 5 channel amp if your considering adding a subwoofer in the future.

I only have the stock radio installed. I have noticed that the sound is much clearer with the new speakers, but wouldn't mind some more kick and power from the speakers. From what you wrote, it looks as though I may have to go the subwoofer route.
Thanks for the direction.

Well the OEM HU is lacking quite a bit in the power scale, something in the order of like 25Wrms per channel, so they would not drive the speakers you have very well.An amp is the best route for better SQ.Remember to install an amp you'll need a LOC (Line-output-converter) to connect the amp to your HU.If your going to get a subwoofer there's two routes to take; a single 5channel amp or 2 amps; 4channel and mono for the sub.The second route would be better for SQ but more costly.

Thanks. Since I have kids, and use my trunk, a subwoofer is probably not in the cards. Is there any type of amp you recommend that is not insanely expensive?

Baymoe is still trying to sell his MB quart 5 channel amp here on the site and a Loc.Check the Buy/sell under classifieds section, it's a reasonable price too AND should be all you need.

You don't need a large sub box to in order to add a little "thump" to your music. I had one of these in my hatch and found it surprisingly good.

Thanks for the information. I have been checking out some items at http://www.sonicelectronix.com
There's a lot of variety there. I am looking forward to the challenge of wiring my amp, when I do get it.
