So seems like my cooling fan isnt turning on, I got the original fan replace with an aftermarket one, and that didnt fix it either. The new one doesnt turn on either, its not the thermostat b/c turning on the a/c doesnt start the fan. The wires are okay, any ideas?

what aftermarket fan did you get? is it a stock replacement?
there is a fan control module where the fan is... but of course fan is powered by a relay, so check that first
if there's power to the fan but it isn't turning, then the module is suspect

This happened to me a few months ago, it turned out that the signal wire going into the fan assy had corroded thru. a light tug on it and it popped right off. Some cutting and soldering later everything was good to go. If you already replaced the whole fan assembly then thats probably not your problem though

Can you perhaps detail this incident a bit more in the MS3 section? Perhaps you're not the only one affected. If you have tips or pics as to what to look out for for the Speed3 guys, it'd be helpful. I mention the MS3 section sicne we experience a very different engine bay temp range than the Mazda3. Thanks.

it doesn't matter, the radiator and crap up front is the same... it doesn't matter if it's a different engine and bumper

That was actually on my 2004 mz3 sedan.. the problem popped up during the mechanical inspection prior to sale, and the mechanic tried to make me pay $400 for a new fan. I was like FFFFU! ;)

Finally fixed the problem, the issue was a malfunctioning computer, it was not communicating to the fan. Luckly enough it is underwarranty. So for anyone with the fan not running, and its not the fan then its the computer.
