Hi, I got a 2011 a few weeks ago, and last night was the first night of rain since I took delivery of the car that I had to use the wiper blades. So I used them on intermittent and immediately noticed that the left one (drivers side) does not clear properly and leaves a line on the windshield. I checked it this morning to see if there is any debris on it as to why that might be happening and there was not. Anyone else had this problem? Should I expect the dealership (MOT) to change it for free considering the car is only three weeks old?:(

Seems to just be the wiper blade was warped. Sounds like the mechanism is fine. Call up the dealer and ask them to replace it for free.

ya, I used the wipers for the first time on my hatch that has under 1500km and the driver side was chattering already.

I didn't know you can get it replaced. I'm going to go look into it.
Though, I don't really head out that way, the question would be is it worth the 10 dollars in gas to get a blade from the dealer when I can just buy one for 7.

If its not the blade the problem!! I wonder how much it would cost to get new wiper arms!! because i'm guessing the problem woulnt be the motor if it wipes normally

I am pretty convinced it is the wiper as it leaves a streak along the whole drivers side right in my line of vision ironically. When I get some more time next week I will look into it. I emailed MOT about it on the weekend and surprise surprise I have had no response!! I definitely am not paying for a new blade on a brand new car!! Thanks for the responses!

No dealer can send you a new wiper back by email...

Just go/come in and have them take care of it.

Ya but they can certainly reply to emails, which they NEVER do!

No offense but I wouldn't be emailing them about a problem with your brand new car. Quit typing, get in your car, drive there, show them the problem and then have them replace the wiper blade or whatever is causing the issue (under warranty).

Actually you will have to wait until tomorrow since it's 5:30. :P

how can you expect any response from them over a weekend when parts & service runs on a skeleton crew? you're lucky MOT even has parts & service open during weekends at all... there are some dealers out there that don't even open parts & service on weekends!
