First off let me say I HATE the setup of the lights in these cars :flaming.
So I got the garage16 HIDS and figured I'd quick install them since I didnt think it would take all that long. After getting everything lighting up, I started the car. Should I still have my Daytimes since I replaced the 9005s? Cause they deffinetly do not light up. But at least are locked in and appear to be shining correctly.
But HID or just bulbs I can never get them in right for the low beem..:flaming they shine too high and dont shine much on the road. Passanger side is atleast for the most part in snug. But the drivers wiggles and spins how ever it pleases no matter how much i push it in and even with the clamp back over it again. I try aiming them where I want but they dont stay. After wasting all night on them I'm out of ideas :bang
Also, forgot to add, Passenger side low beam seems to be burning/melting the spacer.. err that a problem? Saw the smoke coming out when I tried aiming it.

You replaced the high beams with HIDs? Why? IMO it's a waste of money. No idea why they aren't lighting up except the fact that they may be trying to run in DRL mode and it's not enough power for them HIDs. Not 100% sure though. They should just be flickering if the car is trying to run them as DRLs.
Take the headlights out if you can't get them. It's faster and better if you know you have trouble getting the bulbs seated.
Burning is obviously not good. I would take them out of you are having burning/melting problems. First figure out what is burning/melting. You said the spacer. Why is the spacer burning? Is the bulb touching it?

OP, did you replace HID's only on lowbeam? And regular halogen bulbs for highbeam?
From what it sounds like, if you're complaining about light output then it's the bulbs not being seated correctly or they're somehow put in the wrong rotation. With the H7 Clip, it's a pain in the ass.
For your driver side, is your spacer on correctly? If it is and the clip still doesn't lock then maybe the clip is too loose. You may have to tighten the screw that's holding the clip. The burning is probably because the bulb is touching the spacer since it's all loose.

At the time I wasn't planning on the yellow tint, so the 3000K was for looks, and I do live out in the country so they get used a little more. also, I head from floodgatez halogen melts tint?

Thanks guys Ill take another look after work.
Thing with the highbeems/daytime though, I only had to replace the first one and test it for both daytime lights to stop working?

So you have HID highbeams, they must be flickering then and possibly died... cause it was trying to run at DRL power.
If you run HID's on highbeam you'll definitely need to disable your DRL...I think you can just pull the fuse?

You can just pull the fuse on 07-09. Or, you could just not install HIDs in your high beams lol.

^lol yea. Definitely very uncommon in cars. Most of the time it's the bikes that HID their highbeams.

:P ok that makes sense, cause it would do that when I turned them on. I rather have DRL so I just wont install them.
That leaves just my lowbeam issues to figure out tonight.
Thanks!

Remove bumper > remove headlights > replace bulbs > reinstall headlights > reinstall bumper
Total time = 45-60 min tops
Do this if you can't get them to seat properly.

Everythings in snug, grounding wires facing down. SHOULD be good now, idk what the smoke was about cause the spacer looked fine. Must have been lots of dust/dirt flying around. Will check tonight for sure and take pics.. Got the daytime lights back too.
