i own my 07 speed 3 for over a year and i just love the car either for power, handling and the fact that this car is also family friendly. lately i bought a few mods (fmic, cai, ap)on the car and i recently got lots of backfire and also on the first gear pull i got no respond and lots of backfire. its look the same as if i had the traction control on but i dont even have it. all the other gear are ok but the car seem to have a lot of power loss. my fuel pump read @ WOT 1680-1750psi, also the a/f read in high 10. my mods are hks bov (not in recir), injen cai, cx racing fmic, cobb ap, corksport test pipe and cat back. anyone wich had any problem like this let me know.

You need a downpipe with a high flow cartlytic converter my friend.

put your hks bov in recirc...start there and see if the response and backfire issues go away.

well i have being driving the car foe over a year and never had an issue since the ap, fmic and cai. i was thinking mabe a faulty coil or plug. cant see a bov being that bad wich just recircle the air AFTER wot wich my engin cut is only happening during hard acceleration on the first gear. BUT im learning on this car and they are many more people on this board that knows more these car then i do. i can give a try first any other sugestion?

Trust me if you had a faulty coil or plug you would know, I would first pull the plugs and inspect the tips, your most likely running to rich due to the extra air mods. I would take advice and recirc the BOV or buy a recirc BOV, you actually LOSE on acceleration between shifts due to it being non recirc.
