Has anyone purchased second hand/used tires for their 3?

I have an '04 GT with Toyo Versado's (205/50R/17) that have about 75K on them (the original Goodyear RSA's lasted about 65K).
To be honest I'm not sure how much longer I'm going to keep this car for (likely two years max... I do about 20K/year driving) so am considering getting second hand tires.

Does anyone have any thoughts on a reputable place and how much a set of used would go for?

Thanks!

Check out the Classified section of this site. Some members put their used tires up for sale. You can get ideas of prices too. I just sold a set of Yokohamas there.
Sorry, I don't know any shops that sell used tires but I guess you could PM our tire sponsors in the tire section and ask.

If you buy new, even if you don't drive much the better (more treadlife left) will be a selling feature for the car. You might not think so but I do. I'd pay $200-300 more for a car that has decent tire-life than one with nearly/worn tires. It makes you look more credible too.

I've got a pair of Nankangs for sale, $100 and loads of life left on them :) Sorry I can't offer you 4 tires though.

like above ppl said... selling point of the vehicle is if it is certified... which will require a minimum amount of tread on the tires.
that being said, you may be able to get a decent used set for the amount of time you need it, and then get another set when the time comes to get rid of it (or sell it 'as is')
check out kijiji.com to find alot of people/shops selling tires.

With the prices of tires today there is no need to go cheap and pick up 2nd hand. If you are on a tight budget there are many Chinese tires that are decent. Check out the sponsors and Kijji.
