As my family has recently expanded, I was looking to buy a Mazda5. I was originally looking to buy a new 2012, but with the price being a tad out of my budget, I was hoping to snag a deal on a demo 2012 or a mint 2010. After shopping around various dealers, autotrader, kijiji, etc., I was happy to find out that Avante Mazda still had brand new & demo 2010 Mazda5s in stock.

I knew Avante was active on this forum so I PM'd fellow member mazdaspeed87 through here. A few minutes later I received an email from a salesperson named Abraham Yoon. Over the span of 2 days, I put his customer service skills to the test. We exchanged 20+ emails and he was able to answer all of my questions - from pricing, to trim levels, to my trade-in, etc. He always made sure to answer every question I had. This was quite refreshing from another dealership experience I had (non-Mazda dealer) where they promote themselves as being email friendly, but then refuse to answer any questions via email and just want to meet in person.

Because of this great initial impression, I went to meet Abraham in person and was able to get an amazing deal on a 2010 Mazda5 GS with comfort package. Although there was some negotiation done on my trade-in, overall it was a no fuss, no games transaction. I was even anticipating the hard-sell on extras like rustproofing, seat protection etc, but to my surprise there was none of it! They just gave me a sheet listing possible extras and told me to let them know if I was interested.

The team at Avante also managed to do a quick turn around on the delivery of the car so I could have in time for a weekend road trip.

Anyway, very happy with my purchase at Avante! :chuckle

Yeah, if you can find a 2010 Mazda5.. they are a really good deal.. at least $5000 off of MSRP..

If I had em, I could sell 2 a day.

Congrats on the car and the new baby, and enjoy getting no sleep for the next 2 yrs... :D

Just waiting for my new 2011 M3 Sport GX in Red Mica to get delivered to Avante. My first Mazda. I'm stoked about the new ride.

So far, the purchase experience has been pretty good--it's a lease, actually--but the Lease Contract isn't signed yet, so we'll see how Avante is as we approach the deal closing. No surprises, I hope.

Thanks for the business Drey2011

There will be no surprises at all when you come to pick up your car! We are unlike the "typical" car dealership :cool

Looking forward to seeing you at delivery!

Cheers

Glad you got your car so fast, rsquared. I'm still anxiously waiting for mine. Seems to have been some kind of mixup. It was supposed to be in the yard and awaiting transport by truck, but I last learned it's actually still on rails from Vancouver and expected much later than they seemed to think originally. I just hope I don't get mine delivered by the time prices are lowered further. I'd feel pretty crappy about that.

My car was already in their lot so that's probably why I got it so fast.

Well, unfortunately, there were plenty of surprises leading up to delivery. Only one of the surprises was positive: a bottle of Cab Sauv. I shall write about the other surprises very carefully later on, in a new thread.

ok, I have removed all threats of prosecution, and rebuttals from this thread. Please take that to PM.
Drey - I would ask that you post details about your experience. To say you were not satisfied with your Avante experience leaves a lot to the imagination. Tell us, how Avante failed to meet your expectations. If you do not wish to do that, then your posts are simply an attempt to gain leverage.

Thanks for being the kind of moderator who keeps everyone civil! That makes for a great forum.

Though, saying only that I was not satisfied is not libelous. I am taking my time to carefully prepare my review precisely because of the possibility of being sued, which Avante has suggested they would not hesitate to do. It's taking some time because it's a lot of work to write a review of a business that is lawful, and I'm not exactly experienced at publishing contentious reviews of companies who would not hesitate to sue. But I will.

And my posts are not an attempt to "gain leverage." Gain leverage at what? My goal is only to provide fair comment, just like all other reviewers on this forum have done.

I can appreciate the time it takes to write a proper review. I think we are on the same page regarding your feedback, I look forward to reading about your experience.

With regard to Avante's suggestion of litigation. I have discussed with the Avante team their response. I have told them, I understand the need to protect their brand. However, we do not want to discourage users from posting experiences, good, bad or neutral. I have told Avante Torontomazda3 will not allow any organization to intimidate users in an attempt to prevent a negative review. That said, Avante is welcome to, and encouraged to respond to any review posted.
