Hey guys,

I have a 2008 Mazda 3 and I have regular black steel rims which have started to show signs of rust. It's getting more and more serious. I looked up some DIY videos on Youtube of about to refinish rims, but it's seems to be too much work.

Does anyone know a garage which will take care of this for a reasonable price? I won't even dare ask my dealership about this!

Thanks as usual Mazders!

Just sand them down and paint them with rust paint... Shouldn't take more then one hour to do and not much involved.

As Aris mentioned, this is not that hard unless you are really not mechanically inclined.

Black Tremclad from Cdn. Tire is easy to source.

Perhaps try Allen at Simply Tire (forum Sponsor) as they do caliper paiting and might do this kind of stuff for you.

I agree, a power drill, wire wheel for the end of the drill you can pick up at Canadian Tire, Princess Auto, etc etc for cheap, a good rust paint and primer if you wish.
Good DIY project.

If you don't want to do the work yourself it's not worth getting them re-painted because they're about $50 each.
