View Full Version : Anyone try to put a stock 06 HU onto an 05 MZ3?

Anyone try to put a stock 06 HU (the one with the "MEDIA" button, and can have the LCD detached) to an 05 MZ3? I am having a hard time finding a stock 05 HU, but apparently, there are tons of 06 HU lying around...so just wonder if anyone has tried it yet...

I could be wrong but I don't think it's possible. 06-09 has a sepeate harness for the LCD screen and 04-05 is one and has only one wiring harness to deck.

Ah, that's what I am afraid to hear...i had been kinda keep my hopes up....

This is correct. You can't put an 06-09 deck in an 04 or 05.

where's all these 06 units? I may need one (6disc changer for free of course), since no one wants them and mine acting up

PM GTA Fine Cars Inc (http://www.torontomazda3.ca/forum/member.php?13324-GTA-Fine-Cars-Inc.), I believe he has some lying around and is giving out for free! I dont know about 6disc changer though...
