I have Mazda 3 gray. I have noticed that bird poo is taking away clear coat. Any body with same problem? It may further damage my paint. Car is 2010 model.

Clean it thoroughly and give it a nice claying with a claybar and lubricant. The poop may have dulled the paint a little, but shouldn't eat away your clear.

The clear coat has come off. Still can I clean? Than what? Do I have to put clear coat again? Is it not covered under warranty? It is 2010 car.

bird poop is acidic. It will eat away at the clear coat if left on too long.
This is why I always wash my car after I find bird poop on my car ><

Hmm, I always tend to avoid the bird poop when I am cleaning my car, just spray it with water but not wiping it with a cloth. I guess it depends on what type of poo as well.

The purple coloured ones are the worst. As mentioned, as soon as possible, wipe the mess off your finish.

As for the clear, the poop can eat into it. Claying will do nothing for it. All you can do is have it buffed and hopefully it is not too deep.

Purple cars or purple poo?

I always keep a bottle of quick detailer and a microfiber cloth in my trunk for just this reason. Sure, it leaves an extra clean patch, but it beats poo.

I would avoid wiping the poo off if possible...swirl marks are the devil! I'd hit it with a hose first, then take the rest off with a wash mitt.

I have two other cars in the same driveway andall the cars get same treatment from the birds. And they are three years older than Mazda. Nothing has happened to other two cars. But they are not Mazda. So looks like Mazda problem. I will think twice before buying another Mazda.

i can confirm that bird droppings can indeed eat away your clear and even at your paint depending on how long it's left on and especially with the summer sun baking it in. that's why i always clean it asap when ever i see it happen.

i think you'll need to either try compound and see if that works if not then you're kinda sol and need to reclear what ever part is effected.

A good 1-2 layers of wax can prevent things like this from happening. Can you take a picture?

You need to wax your car

warranty does not cover wear and tear
the owner manual explicitly states that bird droppings must be removed ASAP and not left alone as they're corrosive to paint... it also says to wax the car periodically to protect the paint
