Hello

I have a 2011 MS3 and was wondering if it's worth it to get a exhaust upgrade.
I do not want it to be any louder then stock.
I heard Racing beat is the most quiet one out there is that true?

Thanks in advance!

Do you get black spots on your rear bumper from your stock exhaust?

I think it's worth it. I love the sound on mine, but the gf's not liking it.

Also, since you have turbo - gains will be more noticeable than in a regular N/A 3.

ya my concern is more then noise.
I had a MS accessory exhaust in my old MZ3 and after a while i start to hate it when I drive for a trip...

If you don't want noise, get the magnaflow. Nicer tone, not any louder.
Cat-back will be little to no gains. If you're looking for gains, you'll have to change the downpipe.

If you don't want any more noise than regular, and you're not gonna change the downpipe as you're gonna have to change the fuel pump and get into tuning the car, then I say there's absolutely no point in changing the stock exhaust.

I will eventually change the Fuel Pump and DP
I have an AP and eventually will get a pro to tune the car when I have everything installed.

Honestly, the stock exhaust sounds great, and changing the catback won't do much in terms of performance, you would only change it if you're looking for a different sound.

Dude,

Just keep the exhaust stock!!!! There is no performance difference with an aftermarket exhaust. It's more of a bling factor for noise.......

you never mentioned anything about what parts you were planning on adding. You only mentioned that you do not want to change the sound. So from what you mentioned about adding (dp, fuel pump, already have AP) then you are interested in performance and like fywdyl and fast_dude (lol) said, a cat back won't do anything for performance.

if you do change the downpipe, then the car will get louder. If you don't want to get louder than stock, you're going to have to add resonators.

You also cannot compare the sound of a MS accessory exhaust on a MZ3 to an aftermarket exhaust on a MS3, since the turbo itself muffles alot of the noise. Most exhausts on a MS3 have more of a deep rumble to them.

If you end up changing the DP later on - it will increase the noise anyway... so I don't know if it's possible not to make it louder lol!

Hi guys I was just browsing through and reading up on things and I saw this. Every time I open her up to stretch her legs (yeah I know wink wink insert jokes here) I get the black spots from the exhaust all over the back even shot up as high on the wing; and it's really obvious on the cwp so I have to wipe it off everytime. Is this going to continue or will it stop eventually; will an aftermarket exhaust prevent this or make it worse?

magnaflow is the most obnoxious IMO. it give that zippy popping exhaust noise.

The magnaflow is barely any change from stock.

Get a tune so you don't run so rich. An exhaust won't fix the problem.

No it wont stop because it is a factory issue involving the tail pipes.

Its definitely louder, not by a lot totally acceptable.
It sounds deeper, meaner. A lil like a Subaru.

I've heard the CS on the reagular gen2 3's does anyone have it on their gen2 speed3 without any other mods (ie. no DP)? If yes I would like to hear it.

no. way louder than stock and you would need to add a resignator too to the cpe.

Cheap and dirty, do a test pipe and a res delete, sounds great. Save the 700-1200 dollars for a CBE and get an AP and a HPFP. IMHO

Every post from him is about going quieter than stock and you've just suggested making the car louder....

He also already has an AP and fuel pump internals...

^ Gen 2 stock is already so quiet. Who would make a performance exhaust system and design/market it to be quieter than stock? They'd be laughed out of the market.

This thread makes grown men angry...so I'll just take it out on this thread...

Black soot out the tail pipe is from shitty tune running rich. Don't spread more bullshit about tailpipes being the effing problem. Ppl who don't know wtf they're talking about should STFU and not post useless links to useless post made by ignorant hypochrondriacs who blames Mazda for something they have no idea about but decides to go on a witch hunt anyway...

AGAIN...BLACK SOOT DOES NOT EQUAL BAD TAIL-PIPES. KEEP YOUR IGNORANCE TO YOURSELVES.

Ultimate Racing is pretty mellow. Although, as most people had already mentioned, the downpipe will make stuff louder anyway.

UR has a nice titanium tip.. That adds to the rice factor as well. :)
