Hello

I have a 2011 MS3 and was looking to change the stock HID bulbs to 6000K
I wanna know if anyone was able to do it without removing the bumper?
The car is 2 days old... not really wanna remove the bumper...

Thanks in advance!

I changed my halogens to HIDs the day I got my car. Just saying... lol

And gar_lei, there's no need to take off the bumper. You just have to wiggle your way behind the housing.

it seems so tight...
Probably because stock HID`s housing is bigger becuz of the HID tilt motor?

Good thing you asked this question... I wanted to do this too.. I figured the stock HIDs are a little lighter. So what bulbs would you get and where???

As you said with the Speeds (and I guess defacto 3 GT-E cars) the housing is so much larger because of the stock HID, tilt motor and Adaptive lighting + the extra stuff in the Speed engine bay. You may have to just try it. See if you can take the stock bulbs out and that'll tell you how easy it is. The bumper comes off easy enough anyways.

if its anything at all like a regular MZ3, you shouldnt need to remove the bumper...
