For those of you who read my other thread asking for advice this is my final review after resolving everything.

I recently went to Maple Mazda looking for a new vehicle we needed something bigger so we were interested in the CX-9 after seeing some really good reviews on Google/Toronto Mazda 3, we decided to goto Maple Mazda even though it was farther than a couple other dealerships in the area.

When we got to the dealership we were greeted by a very friendly salesman by the name of Sam, seemed like a really nice guy at first. The deal was done fast and we got a decent price, but up when it was delivery time I found out that the DVD system we wanted was aftermarket even though they charged me the full MSRP listed on the Mazda website and did not tell me it was aftermarket, I decided to take the vehicle anyways and work out the problems afterwards as the salesman seemed genuine and said he could work things out with me after, I am in no way gullible but I always give people a chance before I judge them. Anyways I showed up the next week to meet with the salesman and he talked to his manager then told me there is nothing they can do for me about the DVD System as it was my fault that I did not ask if it was aftermarket. I basicly left the dealership and told the Sam that I will be leaving negative reviews on the internet about my experiences. After 15 minutes he called me and told me that they want to give me 1 year of maintenance free because of this and please do not post any negative reviews about Maple Mazda. After this I also found some problem with my paint which they failed to fix, but my main concern is still the DVD System, so I met with the General Manager at Maple Mazda who agreed that it was their fault that they did not explain the item was aftermarket to me, which was really what I was looking for and we did work out a resolution to this.

I thought the worse was over but I was out washing the car the other day and noticed that the Roof Rack I had ordered wasn't even screwed in properly, it looked like while in a rush the guy who was installing it didn't tighten 3 screws on the roof rack as it was installed at their dealership. But that wasn't the end of it either, our deal to buy the car was that they pay off the rest of our current lease and yesterday, we received a call from the leaser saying that Mapla Mazda has not done so even though its been over a month already and we were still being charged for our lease. So I immediately called the dealership and talked to one of the managers who assured me they did do this, so I asked him to send me a letter confirming this which he agreed, and would fax me one immediately. But I didn't receive a fax yet.

Anyways, a very lengthy review but definitely AVOID this dealership, I am pretty sure all the good reviews on Google are fake. The salesman was really nice until you buy the car, but if you call for after sales support or have any issues, they don't call you back, and give you the run around, take your money elsewhere.

Hey, I actually bought my 2011 speed3 at Maple Mazda. I spoke to Marco who is actually a nice guy and very honest. He was a little slow at getting back to me at some points but other than that I had a good experience there. They gave me everything i asked for and treated me fair.

On a side note: I dealt with "Sam" back in April when my girlfriend was looking at getting a Mazda 3 sedan. If you do decide to go there do not deal with Sam.

Vinnierap - you went to the dealership in April, and had a really bad experience. Why did you go back?

I went back because my aunt and uncle bought 2 vehicles off "Marco" (same salesman i went to). I went and specifically dealt with him because they told me of the good experience they had with him.

I just dont want people to be discouraged to go to a good dealership because of 1 BAD salesman.

Well , i felt obligated to reply to this. I have bought my used Mazda 3 , from Maple Mazda, and i haven't had any problems. I got reasonably good deal, Sam was the right guy to deal with, and Sales manager was really helpful to help me get some paint work done at lower price. To the guy who was complaining about CX-9; get real my man !!!You haven't had problem with the sales ppl, but the service technicians.YOu said it yourself, that the sales guy was great and got you a great deal). Sales guys are not installing any parts and or electronics, but the mechanics. DVD is made by different company and installed in Mazda vehicles, you cant expect Mazda factory to produce DVD players as well. If they had helped you with everything, why do you keep posting bad raps about decent dealership. Tells something about you...

This is a message from the General Manager/Part owner of Maple Mazda:

This is to verify and confirm that Maple Mazda has two written agreements signed and initialed by this customer to indicate the following:
We have paid $3480.12 on the customer’s behalf to cover his previous lease payments.
We have installed a running board, DVD in head rest, and Roof Rack. on the bill of sale it says dealer installed and it is signed, initialed, and fully explained to the customer.
Due to customer’s complaints and possible misunderstanding from either side, we have decided to grant this customer two years of Mazda Scheduled Maintenance ($800.00 value) free of charge to keep him a happy client for future business.
Our main purpose is to keep this customer completely satisfy. We, truly strive ourselves here at Maple Mazda to keep best in class level of customer’s service and our record proves it. We believe customer’s satisfaction is the solid foundation to our success. We mean it and we deliver it.
I apologize to you Mr. Eviltuna. But, I was under the impression that you were fully satisfied after the last time we met.

Dealers don't give a shit once they get your money, hence why they lose customers and continue to. Also I hope you got a high end aftermarket dvd system for paying MSRP because you can get an aftermarket dvd system installed for under 500 all day.

I am so sorry that you have had such a bad experience. I on the other hand, have had two Mazda's purchases from Maple Mazda and the salesperson I dealt with - Stephen Chaiken - was FANTASTIC. He was very polite, friendly and knowledgeable and walked us through everything. We were so impressed with the first car that he sold us - Mazda 3 that we went back and got the CX7 a short time after. We have had great service since the new Service Manager - Tiffany was hired (not so great experience prior to that) but it has been AWESOME lately. I commend and applaud Stephen Chaiken, Tiffany and her great team at Maple Mazda. I would recommend them highly.

Hi, i recently bought a fully loaded Mazda CX7, and i was lucky to hook up with Sam as soon as i walked into the dealership. It happened that just before i stepped into this dealership, i previously went to Kia dealership on 2445 St. Clair Ave West, called West Toronto Kia (avoid going there!) EvilTuna, if you think you were mistreated with the current appologies and offers you are getting, you are making a great mistake wasting your time writing bad reviews about this great dealership! you want to hear a bad story? listen to this> i also currently have mazda 3 that i service at this dealership and no other! before i came to this dealership i decided for my own experience to drive a Kia sportage, i happen to get a sales person who was very eager to help me (just as every other sales person) unfortunately after i took the car for a drive, we came back into the dealership and he offered me to sit down (probably hoping to sell) and i said i'm currently shopping and this is my first location, so i would like to get you bussiness card and i will keep in touch with you, he gave me his card and then he was ready to write. He asked me for my phone#, i told him i apologize but i wouldn't like to give you my number because of my previous experience with dealers. He got all crazy and he says "that is very rude!" my wife gave me a surprised look, i said to him im sorry but i want to call you, i dont want anybody pressuring me, he said "im not gonna call you and pressure you!" (but whats the points of taking my number? not to call me?) anyways he says "what if i decided not to give you my number?" (he ripped his bussiness card out of my hands!!!) i just told him keep it buddy, he said " i wasted my time going for a test drive and u wouldn't even give me you#" (LOL) i thought it was his job!! after i called his manager and told him the story, he just said sorry and then he seem to be in hurry not to listen to my story by interupting me (ugha, yea... ugha ... ok). Now Eviltuna, compare your experience with people who want to help you and keep you happy, to my story where both, sales person and manager took a shit on a "Potential Buyer". please, who ever reads this, Westowne Mazda is an awesome dealership, both sales department and service department is always there to help you, i wouldn't dare to go to another dealership.

let me give my review of Maple Mazda
the service manager is a PRICK i think he is the owner son on nephew
any way when i was there for service he gave me a hard time
started with me leaving my car in the drive in bay with keys in it for my tech to pull in
service manager jumped in my car and i was like WTF are you doing ? do i know you basically GTF out of my car
at that time i had no clue who he was
and he had no business driving my car
if he wanted the car moved should have asked me if he can move it for me or better yet ask me to move the car
and to make things worst he tells me im not to leave my car in the bay
and after that i was told not to return to that dealer cus he had a bitch fit
never mind i came there 3 times for same problem and the parts guy always forgot to order my parts
or order only half the parts
and now that my tech is no longer with them i would never show my face there

Yeah, that randoms like seem to crop up in the dealership/shop/service reviews. Weird eh?

I agree with you that a single good or bad review doesn't tell the whole story with a dealership. I bought my car used from Maple Mazda and I had a smooth buying experience. Service Dept. gave me a hard time fixing something but to their credit, they eventually did what was required of them. I believe there are several other threads (from members who have posted >10 times) with positive reviews of Maple Mazda. So aside from eviltuna's initial issue, I find this thread is more entertaining than informative.

Hi,
So am I! call me STUPID !.I would like to expressmyself how I feel. I paid for something
called depreciation waiver , It sounded really good,I would receive money above what I would get from my insurance only cost me $295
.I thought thats good to get more money if my car is damaged or stolen, Marko duped me
I never received any form of contract regarding this ,So maybe someone can explain to me what it is and what I actually paid for, I am extremely upset with this, I I do not know whom to speak , I don't want to go back to the dealership I am very dissapointed with his professioanlism , He's acute young man sly and cunning with his charm , Buyer beware from this cute young man

I beleive it is like in the US they offer GAP insurance. Total your car and the cost to replace it from a year old to new can be couple thousand so this pays for the GAP or the depreciation difference.

When I bought my NEW car and called my insurance RBC they told me INCLUDED with the first two yr premium $14 per year if Car totaled is will be replaced with New car with no out of pocket from me.

Avoid most add ons from the dealers.

Those of you , regarding the $295 I paid , depreciation or something I have my bank contract and and in no place does it talk about any extra insurances, nor does it show the amount in any place, You all seem to write about Sam ,Well I feel he and Sam are the same, they both don't care , I will go back .I will not deal with Marko,
And I guess should be wear of Sam ..Now back to my $295 ,How can I get Marko to get me back my monies, ..

LOL! I remember this day. I miss my mazda service customers. It's sad to see the dealership that I thought had unlimited potential end up the way it has. I wish I could've saved her. what can you do?

key to saving money at the dealer is education, sites like this are excellent at sharing experiences and preventing others from being burned the way we were.

keep the knowledge flowing.

Though I had a some what decent experience with Maple Mazda, it sounds to me that they need to get there shite together. They have dropped the ball far too many times.

Boyracer, I second you. I bought my mazda 3 at Avante Mazda (Fantastic All Around), had the first 3 services there and since have been going to Maple Mazda since its a block away from my place. Long story short, it takes them 2.5 hours for an oil change (tire rotations refused) which to me is ridiculous and this is from the point of entry into the back garage. The fact that my car sits in the entrance bay for half an hour dispite having an appointment is another thing. For this to happen once or twice is ok, I understand that they got bogged down sometimes but every single time? really? Moving forward I am thinking of just driving the extra little bit to Avante and getting taken care of properly. I either deal with Jose or Ted (service manager), both of whom speak to you with a high level of professionalism and concern for your satifisfaction.

I cannot comment on the sales team but the service experiences for me at Mazda are below average. They have to be the slowest dealership to date for me. Adam who I normally deal with there seems quite pleasent in dealing with but they need to speed it up.

For those of you wondering why I refuse the tire rotations....on two seperate occasions they have over-torqued my wheels, and i mean OVER-TORQUED as in they definitely did not want me EVER taking off the wheels.

Anyhow, not trying to ruin their reputation but just my two cents in the matter.

I'm sorry to hear about your bad experiences guys, but I have to say I've found the opposite to be true at Maple Mazda.
Now first off, I work weird hours, so I can drop off my car at 10am and I'm usually on a hoist pretty quick. I've found Adam, and the service manager (who's name escapes me) to be quite helpful and friendly. I always bring my own synthetic, and on one occasion they forgot to use it.... I got a sincere apology, and the situation was resolved pretty quick. In fact, I just took my M3 in for its 24k service, and I met the infamous Tiffany from QEW Mazda fame. She was polite, energetic, and knowledgable. I asked that my aftermarket Enkei's be torqued by hand, and they obliged. (She said it was the longest tire rotation ever - but they did it.)
But you guys are right - the test of a dealership is how they perform under stress, with a lineup of customers. I know Tiffany reads these boards, maybe she can pass on some of your concerns. Cause in the end, I want Maple Mazda to do well. They're just too conveniently located. :-)

Hey guys, I just feel like I need to put a positive spin on this dealership. I went to maple Mazda today and went to see Marco (original salesman).

Marco helped sort out my girlfriends problem with her oem deck (posted in ICE thread).

Secondly I was asking him about winter tires and he actually had a set in the back that were on his old demo (used for 2 months Mich xice2). He wound up giving me a GREAT price on the rubber as I already have the rims.

For me, I had a positive experience AGAIN. Marco takes the time to explain things to me and investigate problems if I have.

If you change your mind and go to Maple Mazda talk to Marco.
