I have a few questions about the following:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/8000K-HID-04-07-Mazda-3-CCFL-Angel-Eye-Halo-Ring-Projector-Black-BLK-Headlights-/190577022059?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Make%3AMazda|Model%3A3|Year%3A2006&hash=item2c5f46946b#ht_7815wt_1165

Is 8000k a color people normally choose?
Also anybody has any experience installing these headlights from ebay?
Will the halos be day light and the HID will be my low beams when I turn them on?
If not is that even possible to do? I tried to do a bit of research but I keep finding posts on how to install HID kits and bypass DRL. I want to know if its possible to have halos on all the time (or at least when the low beams are off).

there are too many variable to really answer your questions. first what year is yours? this makes a difference as pre-06 use lows for DRL, while 07+ use highs. to install the halos are DRLs depends on how you wire them - independent switch, to the parking lights or to fog, etc..

you need to narrow down specifically what your lighting goal is (and year of car) to better answer your idea. I have an 06, I did the IFM (independent fog mod - non firewall method) bypassed my DRLs via the ebrake switch, and use 6k HIDs, but different manufacturers can freely use the kelvin rating there's no standard. Generally the higher K you go the less lumens you get, typically 4k-6k will give you superior lighting. in my 06, the H7 bulbs were an easy switch, the difference was shocking.

8000k will look mad tyte but it won't really do much better than your stock headlights
stick to 6000k or less

Sorry I always forget to put my year. But I have a 2006 Mazda 3 sedan.

So will the DRL get disabled when I install the HIDs?
