Thought I'd contribute a bit with my Mazda buying experiences.
The best one by far was with Achilles Mazda, a little out of the way in Acton. I was in school at Waterloo at the time, and passed by on the way home one day.
Long story short, I just asked for his best price possible on a then-new 2003 Protege. Honest price on the 1st shot, and we wound up buying a car on the spot. Total transaction time = 10 minutes.
He never used any pressure tactics, and didn't require us to put down a deposit. Just shook our hand, said he trusted us, and to come back in a week to pick up the car and finish paper work.
8 years later we still own the car and never had anything to fault with this small-town experience. Highly recommended.

And oh yeah the price was pretty good too. He took $1300 off the sticker of a low-end protege sedan, which was a ~17k car at the time. Just said it was his honest best price and stuck by his word.

Haha yeah I know its old, but I didn't see many posts for this dealer and I was posting for a more recent purchase anyway so I figured why not. That was why I posted the purchase date so people know.

Same experience... Honest pricing (
Matched carcost in the first quote (when I did not even specify that I have the figures), no pressure and always responded quickly for any doubts, No Admin fees and other BS, very flexible with my ever changing needs and queries. Best of all - It was all done through email only. No "Come down and we will work out the numbers" tactics.
The first time I met was to pick up the car!
Honestly between Venza and CX-5 it was the assurance of Achilles that made me decide on a CX-5.
No buyers remorse, only glad about the purchase.
Outstanding service and extremely friendly people....

I always get my car serviced there, head and shoulders above what other dealers in my area offer customer service wise.

Currently having my 3 serviced, so far so good. Kathleen McCauley has been helpful since the time I inquired about service appointments. Since Direct Mazda switched to Diect Nissan, I tried looking for dealerships near my area. Erin Mills was next but my online inquiries were never returned and when I did call, i was told that they were very busy to look over the bookings.
Achilles Mazda returned mine after a few hours. Friendly staff and nice amenities. So far, I found a new home for my 3 and my wife's CX5.

So I went to Achilles again but this time to have the CX-5 warranty serviced.
The service department is hands down admirable. Both Hal and Jordan were accommodating. But even before this trip, I brought the CX-5 there for a change oil last August and same thing, these guys were cordial and fast.

As an advocate of Achilles Mazda, we will never let this stop us from doing business. The Safety & Security fee is not mandatory nor is it an admin fee, but an excellent offering up front. We see a lot of clients make use of the Tire Guard Road hazard Warranty especially here in Milton, Nitrogen is good for your tire health and the Theft system is pretty widespread in our industry. Not a bad idea.
In the end, if we are truly amazing are we not worth the $495? ;) With proper communication it's amazing what we can achieve.

That window etching fee is quite interesting.... It's usually done at the factory, right? So every vehicle on your lot has it already. Now, it's actually a third-party company that's responsible for handling the 'insurance' part of that deal. I did even more digging and found that it only costs $65 to register a vehicle with them and receive full protection. So, where does the other $430 go?

The best way to get intel on something is to go straight to the source. Hence, Moi.
Although your intel may be correct from your source. It is entirely possible because there is a system that uses 'Window Etching'. This is however not to be confused with the Global Registration System we use. We complete all the administration here. Our lovely receptionist manages the registration part and it is installed by our amazing detailer. The system utilizes a series of branding tags that embed a serial number into certain parts of the vehicle in addition the Window tags on the driver&passenger windows. Next time you stroll through a parking lot, take a look at the driver side windows. Guaranteed you will see some sort of theft protector system.
In regards to the money part....If you read a little further into my response you'll see I mentioned the Tire Guard Warranty & Nitrogen. Both of these have costs involved and are done through Sym-Tech. A reputable company that is very easy to deal with. The Tire Warranty covers repair/replacement of damaged tires due to Road Hazards for 3years/60,000kms. Nitrogen comes with top ups for life. We have an actual machine that takes the air out of the tires and inflated them with the Nitrogen.
Now I can go on and on trying to justify why this is a good system and an incredible value, but I won't. Instead, you should come by for a visit. I'd be happy to show you how it all works, show you our dealership and you can get to know us. If you still feel strongly about it these products, just opt out. That simple. :)
You can buy bread anywhere. The price may differ slightly from place to place. You go to Sobeys because they have the bread you like, the produce is fresh, the store is nice and the line ups are short. At the end of the day a few cents here or there is no big deal because your entire experience has been great. Not like that time you went to No Frills, the bread was stale, there were flies on the produce and the milk you bought expired that day.

I just got back home with my new car delivery from Achilles Mazda and honest to God... they were such a pleasure to deal with! I completely trusted them as we were not pressured at all to buy a car throughout the process. Truly honest people with great service!
I highly recommend them and will be going there to service my car all the time! Definitely worth the drive from Mississauga.
Thumbs up for Achilles Mazda in Milton. I can't say enough good things about this dealership.
Everyone I spoke with at Achilles was really friendly and helpful. The owner (Achilles) is a genuinely good guy. The buying process was easy and smooth. Most communication was done through e-mail and phone. The only time I even had to go to the dealership was to pick up my new car.
I definitely recommend Achilles Mazda. Even if you live in the Mississauga/Brampton area, it's worth it to go to Achilles as they won't waste your time and give you a run around like the dealerships in Mississauga.

I also dealt with Achilles recently when shopping for a Mazda6. He's easily the most transparent and up-front guy to deal with and presented me with a fair offer. Ultimately, I bought elsewhere due to complications on my end (I stress, MY END), but he was quite accommodating and progressive in his approach. As RMX explained above, it's a very streamlined process and no other dealer was willing to work this way, likely because it's rare to deal with the owner himself.
Based on my experience, I think anyone in the market for a Mazda should give Achilles a shot. I certainly will when my lease is up (the complication won't apply when that time comes).
Rated this thread 5 stars.
Achilles deserves it.

When I was shopping for my car, Achilles was one of the two dealers that gave me the best deal by a large margin. I only decided to buy my car from Mountain Mazda (sales manager Paul was great too) because it was right in my back yard and both were basically the same offer so I chose merely out of convenience. If I had to choose because of customer service and communication, Achilles would win hands down. The owner dealt with me directly and the documents he provided were very detailed making everything transparent. This is a comparison among the 15 dealerships that I contacted within 100km of me when I was shopping around. I couldn't recommend Achilles more, especially if you're in the market for a Mazda and live nearby.

Hey 3Zilla. Just reading this. I'm sorry to hear you felt that way. We will never let our Safety and Security Package stop us from doing business. It does benefit a great deal of our clients. With a tire warranty, nitrogen and theft registration it does have a great value. Now that I know you feel so strongly about it. The next time around come see me and I will ensure it does not happen again.
Thank you for the opportunity.

True. Sometimes we quote without it to obtain a certain price point. It really does put us in a limited situation by doing that. Personally, I like the package. We have been doing it for almost 4 years now and I've seen so many of my customers make use of it. I used it. Had a low tire and the guys checked it out. The repair was covered. It was a nice feeling. We've done replacements on both new & used cars. Low profile and SUV tires are not cheap.
Now that we are an affiliate I will be able to manage the pricing better to ensure we don't lose any future Mazda fans over this. :)

Went to get my 8k service done at Achillies last week - Terry is very friendly and knowledgeable.
Over the weekend, my passenger side mirror was destroyed (while parked on the street). Called Achilles on Monday to order parts, went in yesterday to get repairs done.
Everything was easy and painless...
Since joining the forum, I've read fantastic things about Achilles, I had to experience it myself and it did not disappoint.
Even if I need to drive 80kms further than my closest dealership!
One regret - I didn't mention TM3.. it definitely would have came in handy. replacement was more costly than i expected.

Was at Achilles Mazda on the weekend and had a awesome experience there. Was with CarLadyLisa and ended up purchasing a 2015 Mazda 3 GT! She was great, if you haven't checked out her YouTube channel it's really informative as she regularly uploads videos of Mazdas and their upcoming line-ups! https://www.youtube.com/user/CarLadyLisa Everyone there is very friendly and the showroom is bright and clean. Lisa was amazing to talk to, she was very energetic and always upbeat, no pressure at all. If you are looking for a dealership that prides itself on customer service, I recommend Achilles to everyone who is interested in purchasing or even test driving a Mazda, seriously a stress-free environment. After purchasing my car I have been in constant contact with Lisa through text and emails about the delivery process and other inquires so you know they care at Achilles and they are not only interested in sales numbers. I have been to other dealerships and I can truly say my experience at Achilles has been the best, very professional and absolutely friendly!

Just wanted to share my purchasing/servicing experience at Achilles Mazda.
Purchase: Due to rave reviews of Achilles Mazda found online, I had contacted CarLadyLisa to receive quotes on a 2015 Mazda 3 GS/GT back in October 2014. She was professional, detailed, and punctual with her responses. She set up a test drive of a couple models, and I never felt like she was pressuring me to buy a car. The 2015 GT with MTX weren't available during my first test drive, but as soon as Achilles received one, she booked me in for a test drive right away (6km on the odometer when I test drove!). I was truly impressed with her level of customer service. The quotes she initially provided reflected the best she could do (I had contacted a couple other dealerships, with 2 asking why I didn't sign already). Through a connection I have, there was one dealership that offered a better deal, but seeing CarLadyLisa 's commitment proved to be the X-factor when deciding where to purchase the vehicle. I made a specific request for a factory order (didn't want one sitting in inventory), and she accommodated that without any issue. The car arrived in under 6 weeks, while other dealerships were quoting a 3-4 month wait time. Sorry for the late review, Lisa, but know that you did an absolutely fantastic job!
Service: Scheduled my first service appointment with Terry via email. Once again, he was professional and straightforward to deal with. We set up a time, I brought the car in, and 45 minutes later I was on my way out. They were thorough with their inspections and investigated a minor issue I had.
All in all, extremely satisfied...and I'm loving this car!

I love this dealership.
I'll just be reiterating what has already been said.
Our family grew a little bigger recently, so we needed something bigger. We traded in the wifes 2012 Mazda3 skyactiv for a fully loaded 2016 CX-5 GT. Our experiance dealing with CarLadyLisa was nothing short of exceptional. As others have stated, at no time did my wife or I felt pressured in any way. It wasn't just the great price, but the little things they did to make this a pleasurable experience.
Thank you Lisa, Tracy, & Achilles
We're loving the CX-5

Looks like Achilles Mazda is going to be my new dealership even though it's a bit out of the way for me. I've been wanting to use this dealership for a while to service my 3 since reading all these positive reviews. My friend just heard that Select Mazda (my dealership) is closing and Mountain Mazda is changing its name to Hamilton Mazda. Mountain Mazda is actually very close to where I live, but I refuse to service my 3 there because my friend has nothing good to say about the service department. I've generally had decent experiences at Select Mazda. I'm hoping Achilles can do better. :)

They installed the aero spoiler on my hatch today. The wrong template came with the spoiler so they took the time to find the proper one. This unfortunately led to a massive delay.
They admitted to the mistake, apologized and offered to compensate for it, but most importantly took the time necessary to do the job right. That, to me, is more important than anything. Very impressed with how they handled the unfortunate situation. Additional brownie points for loving my dog :)
Thanks again everyone at Achilles!

Hey all,
I'd like like to chime in on the experience with Achilles Mazda.
Let me start by saying I think you'd be very, very hard-pressed to find a better dealer anywhere.
I met Achilles (dealer principle) through Twitter and he has become someone I admire and respect for many reasons, but mainly because he cares.
About everyone.
He tries to find the positive in every interaction and is always treating people with kindness. That character trait has clearly filtered down to his people and it's quite evident anytime I've had dealing with the store.
Our latest was to purchase a new vehicle, and Sunny (our sales Rep) was an absolute delight to deal with. When we arrived he had 3 different vehicles ready for us to drive and did everything possible to ensure we had driven or checked out everything we needed to. We chose the 2021 Mazda 3 2.5T and he wasn't pushy at all. Super-helpful and easy to deal with.
On Achilles' website profile it says, "Breaking automotive stereotypes since 1990," and I can attest this is true. It's been a pleasure to meet this man, his staff and to do business with all of them.
If you're in the market for a vehicle or have service needs, you'd be doing yourself a disservice to not visit the fine people at Achilles Mazda.
