So I was thinking we should do a fall event, one last thing to sort of close out the season. And since I've been doing a bunch of bonfires with friends lately, I thought why not?

I would hope to do it sometime soon, before it starts to get too cold out. We could have a nice raging fire, s'mores, coffee, hot chocolate, cider, etc.

What does everyone think? Is anyone interested?

I'm still scouting for some locations. I only know of two right now. One definitely doesn't have enough room for a larger group, and the other is Milne Conservation area in Markham.

Sounds fun! Although to me a bonfire event seems more like it should fall sometime closer to Thanksgiving...

I'm guessing it would have to be close to the GTA so people would be able to drive home afterwards?

Sorry, been crazy busy. Two of the places I wanted to use have changed their policies and no longer allow fires, and I still can't get a straight answer from the other one.

But if anyone knows of any parks with good amounts of parking that may let us hold a bonfire, please let me know!

Sadly not, they are a conservation area and don't allow large fires. Plus I think they close at like 6pm :(

Why dont you check out sunnybrook park? its more of a bbq type deal, not as much bonfire, but its huge, lots of parking, and surrounded by forests and what not.
just pitching out ideas cuz its hard to find a place to host a bonfire.

lol despite all the hype about ferraris, they are pretty shitty cars mechanically... you wont find one in good running condition with more than 10,000km on it lol

No snow up your way yet? The grounds been covered here for a while.
How about BubbaQ winter edition, water balloons in the summer snowballs in the winter.:thumbsup haha
- on the topic of BubbaQ, wonder if you could put a campfire spin on it if your having trouble finding a location in Toronto. I know its legal to have a backyard fire here in kitchener if anyones got a big backyard haha. I dont know about parks in the area though.

I doubt people at this time of year are going to drive out to the middle of butt phuck nowhere just for a bonfire. Besides this thread is almost 4 months old and basically going nowhere...
Like I said b4 try for next yr.

Yeah. Maybe in March we can do a Bonfire maple syrup tasting. I spoke with a farm that I used to frequent and they may be interested, but they weren't able to let us use their property for a bonfire at the time because they had other things happening.
