Why does EMM charge $60+tax for 2011 mazda 3 oil change and qew $47with taxes? both using 0-w20 i checked on the reciept.

why dont you ask them yourself? If there's a disparity in pricing between the two dealerships, I'd be more than willing to bet EMM would match the difference...

Some dealership with give you some extra "inspections", hence adding more on the bill. hehehe

Each dealership is independently owned (or part of a group). Pricing, as is service, and everything else is up to the dealership. Some dealers provide free car washes, Washer fluid fill ups, different lounges, etc. Did Erin Mills do a tire rotation with the oil change? Some dealers may include that as part of their service. At QEW Mazda, we don't charge for it unless someone needs it.

The standard charge for an 8,000 Km service (which includes oil/filter change and required inspections and lubrications) at all Mazda dealerships is $49.95 plus oil disposal fee and taxes ($39.95 with you are not using synthetic oil). The 2011 Mazda3 requires synthetic oil. If you had your tires rotated or had other services, it will be more. If you identify yourself to Dale Clarke, the Service Manager, I am confident your concerns will be handled in a professional manner.

i got 1st and 2nd service from EMM paid $60 something... no tire rotation they did a carwash but dosen't show that on the bill? the answer i was given is that each dealer is owned by diff owner.... well then i rather take my business to qew...

My 4MTH/8000KM service at EMM breakdowns are follows (2011 Mazda 3): $34.10 for synthetic oil, filter, etc. Plus $1.50 for environmental fee, plus $19.95 for labor for a total of $55.55. I also had my tires rotated for $19.95 so the total with tax was $85.32 ... Includes car wash.

ok well i paid $49 taxes in for oil change. not $55.55+taxes... so $10 diff

Solution to this....find a good mechanic. Stop going to dealer for service and silly stuff like oil change.
Most garage can do that for $20 to $25 if you bring your own oil in.

well if you price the 0w-20 it's around $40+ tax so dealer is cheaper in this case...

I was about to hit them up for an oil change this week.. but after reading this and those prices.. thanks again TM3! lol
