So I just bought a Mazda 3. Love the car... With buying a new/used car the dealership does a E test and a safety... So I call the day before and ask them to please check the brakes and the person says yes sir that is part of the safety check. I pick the car up everything is good. lastnight I pick up a set of rims and go to put them on. 1st problem some has put the lugs on with a impact gun..so I get my impact gun and remove the lugs.. 2nd problem the wheel does not come off at all its seized on.. 2 tires are like that and I gave up didn't bother trying the other ones... My concern is I believe that they really didn't do a safety 100% because if they did my tires should come off no problem as I just got the car a week ago... Becareful and make sure dealerships don't cut corners. There's a reason why its called a safety!!!

Some times the wheels stick a little bit, it happens from time to time. Just stand with your back to the car where the wheel is and give them a bit of a back kick at the edge of the tire.

I agree with you. I worked on one wheel for a hour. A wheel that should have been off a week ago shouldn't be that tough to get off

Pay $80 and have an independent shop inspect the vehicle. If it doesn't clear safety, you can go back on the original dealership and demand full restitution or repair.

How do you know the safety was not done 35 days ago and the wheels have been on for that long. Also before being roasted here. Maybe the car has been on there lot for months, and the safety and all the work required was done on it when it came in months ago?

Just saying....

btw....the rear rims are the hardest to get off always! Clean the inner ring of the hub off and put antiseize on it. makes everything easier after that

If you have any concerns I suggest you take it to an independent mechanic and make sure all the safety items were in fact done. There are plenty of times mechanic's/dealers will do the bare minimum of work just for the safety to pass. The safety period expires ( 36 days ) you will have a hard time pleading your case to the dealer if in fact certain safety issues were not done ....
