Anybody ever try getting these?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/MAZDA3-MAZDA-3-2010-2011-LED-daylight-/120785191719?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&vxp=mtr&hash=item1c1f5bc327

I saw them on a civic today and it looks pretty nice.

From what I can tell it looks nice also on the 3.

My only issues is...buying auto parts from ebay is meh....you know.

Only thing I would be concerned is the quality. But judging from the pictures it looks great. But I recall reading the driver side hole where the LED assembly will go, is actually a duct to the air box. Can someone confirm this?

I am quite interested cause the GT's Halogen DRL is not cutting it. I have been planning to put LED bulbs in there for a while.
But this seem this product can replace my stock DRL and use this external DRL LED light.

This looks pretty awesome, I would definitely do this since I don't find my DRLs that appealing at the moment.
It adds a nice touch to the front.

i saw this on ebay about a month ago, wicked idea and i think it looks pretty cool. i asked peter at nextmod if he can get them... still waiting to find out. but i agree i wouldnt want to order them in and then take the bumper off only to find it much more work then its worth.

No good for the new 2012 so will have to wait for the 2nd revision.

Chan7, I'd like to see a closeup of the LEDs when you get them. Hopefully they have 4 post or SMD LEDs and not just 3 or 5mm.....

Looks great, hope that the quality is there. Nothing worse than getting them installed and then a LED burns out.

Hey All,

So here are the pictures as promised. I've test fitted it a bit and seems to sit flush. Quality of the build is solid, comes with all the required wiring and well packaged. I will be getting these tinted and installed this week.

Just kidding. Sometimes things are fast and sometimes there is just no rhyme or reason.

So here is the installed products, but the LED's are brighter than in the picture as I had them tinted prior to install. The total installation wasn't bad, fitment was perfect, but had to figure out how to rewire them so that its with the DRL's only, otherwise it would be on constantly.

when you turn the headlights on do the leds go out or stay on?

They will stay off. Had to customize the wire so that it only turns on when the DRL's are on. The wiring that is provided is meant from them to stay on constantly.

I havent had time to experiment..

What does that box do? is it meant to step down the voltage?

I believe so. Its called a control box on the sheet and which I think it means a relay box lol.. but you definitely will need it for the install.

I was planning to just wire it directly to the DRLs..

but I need to know if the box is a step down or a relay

These use superflux style LEDs. Are the bright enough for DRLs during the day...say 40 meters away? I wish they made something for the speed, i would replace the LEDs as I don't think 5 of these a side are going to be bright enough.

Their pretty bright for what there used for. Since its DRL, I don't expect to get much distance with them as I would with my main headlights/fogs. Just to remind everyone, the pictures below aren't true since I got them tinted before installing them. Ill try to take a night time picture.

They will stay off. (When the headlamps are on -Fuyuzora)

Ill try to take a night time picture.
Uhh...?

I know you can trigger them at night by manually disabling the headlamps, but doesn't taking a picture under these conditions kind of defeat the point of wiring them as daytime running lights? :S

At any rate, if you could take a picture during the day a good distance away (maybe 40m, as kenghk asked) it would be appreciated!
