Get your spare set and unlock the car?
Try all the doors? Maybe one of them is still unlocked?

dont the seats in the seats in teh sedan fold down? or is there one of those pass through holes in the center seat?

otherwise i suggest you find an angle grinder! : D

OH...i see what this problem is lol

OKAY! not sure if this works on our car...(it did on a 96' camry) first thing is you need a wedge of some sort, wooden or plastic is good somethign tha twont scratch the paint, you slam this wedge in top right corner of the door frame where it meets teh body. this will pull the door away from the body as much as possible (this corner is the furthest spot from the door latch and the hindges, thats why you chooose that spot)

you only need to bend the door away enough to get a clothes hanger into the car through the corner.

now begins teh fun part, you have to use that wire to either push the door lock button, or (more likely) use it to hook the door lock switch to unlock the car

goodluck, have fun

Same thing happened to me last summer. Was at a buddys place loading up the car to head up to the cottage for the weekend with everyone, and as soon as everything was loaded, i closed the trunk and realized the keys were in there! And the car was of course locked.

Had to get my friend to drive me back to my house (30 mins away) to get my spare set. Not a fun start to the weekend! lol

Good luck!

+1... this is how you "break" into your car... Try and something more sturdy than a cOat hanger but still as flexible

I used a meter stick to push the unlock button on my grand am.

I wasn't trying to be a smart ass...

Just saying we all have a spare key and it would be easier

That is the easiest way, unless of course 07carbon3 is nowhere near his spare set or if they have been misplaced or lost.

you can always have a key made using your VIN and proof of ownership (usually insurance papers and driver's licence are good enough) at a mazda dealer... if the guys there are smart, they can cut you a non-chipped key (much cheaper) that will only open the doors, not start the engine... I'm pretty sure a protege key blank can be used to serve this purpose

oh wow.. i used to lock my keys in my car all the time in the last couple of years. now i keep a spare in my back pocket of any pants i wear, in the event. and a spare fob and key at home in the event the spare is somehow lost or locked in the car lol

If you didn't get the recall, I think a swift kick/knee gets it open... Except I'd thinking breaking a window would be cheaper than fixing the massive dent you'll have.

Slim Jim from CAA? They're pretty adept at it.

slim jim won't work once the recall is done, or cars with the updated locks
there's a metal shield protecting the lock mechanism from slim jim

I'd offer you some advice based on my experience locking my keys into my old Jetta...But in that case, I ended up busting in the window to get my keys back :chuckle

Otherwise, as others have already suggested some methods that I've done before/seen done before (in auto class - i don't steal cars or anything) so I'd probably give them a shot first. Hopefully you have one of your windows cracked a bit open as that'll be value to you trying to unlock your doors from the outside.
