Rattling Noise from the Steering Wheel?

Hey guys! So recently ive been experiencing a very weird issue, occasionally I would hear a small rattling noise coming from inside the steering wheel? Its not really a loud noise, or anything too big, but its quite annoying and its getting me a bit worried :(. I was wondering has anyone experienced this issue, or know what the problem is?

this can be anything. my old car's steering wheel used to rattle because the horn's bolts holding on the face of the steering wheel were broken

best thing to do is while the car is on, tap parts of the steering wheel and column firmly and see if u can pinpoint where the rattle comes from

yes it's rx-8, but I saw this problem on an mpv too... did the same repair on the mpv and problem solved

I actually did that a couple of times but its not necessarily exactly "in" the steering wheel, it sounds like the noise is coming from behind it.

I think I would be too scared to actually open up the steering wheel and cut anything open :P I think my best bet is to stop being lazy and get my mechanic to open it up and get him to do what the link says. Thanks for the link TheMAN!
