I found this over the net and it shows a table of what might cause this.. It says "Fuel system too lean at idle"

Possibly the o2 sensors... Did you install any intake or what not at the moment?

I haven't made any changes or additions. The light came on once befor and it the gas cap. I'v only had the car about 4 months

If I remember correctly, I had the same code when I used seafoam on my old sedan. It threw a CEL with the same description because apparently, that's what happens when you use seafoam. I had it cleared and it never came back since then. Don't know what happened to it now though.. :)

But yeah, check out the list of stuff on that picture that I posted, maybe you'd find something useful there. I suggest have a look at the ones that are easily accessible first, do a quick check and go from there..

Do you have any problems starting the car after filling it up with gas?

I think that it is a purge valve or if you have an intake the maf wires being pulled loose. Would bet money on it.

Well I finally had to take it to the Mazda dealer; It was the Purge Solenoid valve Malfunctioning. Which had to be replaced.
Total cost: Parts, labor, including diagnostic and taxes.......$368.
Thanks again for the feed-back; however I'v realized without the tech training and a computer program/equipment, I would never have found it!!
I love the old cars; none of this computerized crap.............

it only takes 15 minutes to fix it!

If that!

Part costs about $130 with a local discount. I guess the install and diagnostic fees killed it.
