I have an 05 hatch GT and recently, in the past couple months, ive been having a lot of noise comming from the FR wheel around speeds from 60-100. Originally i thought i was caused by uneven wear on the tires, but recently, bought new winter tires and had them put on the car,but the noise continues.
I've been reading around on forums and on the internet, and have seen that dealers usually charge around $300-$400 to replace the wheel bearing and hub assembly.
I have an appointment today at Direct Mazda in Mississauga to check out the noise but if theres any way of avoiding these costs im deffiently going that route. Ive seen wheel bearings and hub assembly's online with the majority being between $50-$80 and some all the way up to $150. Would it be better to buy it online, and the go somewhere and get it installed. I have a couple friends that are mechanics and can probably help me out with it.
Any Suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks
