So i've done my fair share of searching the forum with questions about spacers and i've gotten lots of answers but this thread is more for advice. My hope for next summer is to run my rears as close to flush as possible and hoping someone can steer me in the right direction.
I'm currently running Speed3 wheels on 215/45/18 tires. I believe the rim itself is 18x7 and 52.5 offset. Would a 15mm spacer do the trick? I also understand that an 18x7 wheel isn't exactly the perfect candidate to run flush, but the rims and tires are practically brand new and I can't justify getting rid of them just yet. Thoughts?
a 15mm won't get you flush, you'd need to go to maybe 20-25mm?
I am currently sitting flush on a 40 offset wheel with a 15mm spacer (so an effective +25 offset) with an 8" wide wheel and 225/40/18 tires. That's on a second gen, however, so for a first gen, maybe an effective offset of +30 will get you close to flush?

assuming i purchase all the proper hardware and have them professionally installed is 20mm still safe?
Yeah it should be safe :) it's essentially the same as having a low offset wheel

any ideas on a good brand? would it be weird because the tires are 215s?

Ya a 20mm would get you close, I think at that length (spacers with lugs) you don't have to cut your stock lugs.

I definitely don't want to cut the stock lugs just in case when the time comes to get rid of the car or change wheel set ups i don't have to worry. Do these spacers most often require open ended lug nuts?
Mine don't require open ended lugs, and as for a good brand I went with Ichiba, no complaints.

I also am running my 2010 Mazda3 GT on MS3 wheels, but I only have the 10mm spacers at the back.
Although that's not much you can see the difference, and you can still use the 15 or maybe the 20mm spacers instead.

I bought a pair of 15mm Ichiba spacers from GFT a few months back, installation was included (they even used some anti-seize compound between the spacers and rotor) and I've never had any complaints; I am going to keep on year round.

Awesome glad to hear it - i ordered the 20 mm ones last night. I guess when i install them i'll use some anti seize as well.
