Hey, so ive had my Mazda3 for about 3 weeks now and noticed how bad the speakers are in it, so it's time to replace them. Lets get to the point, I have a MTX TN4004 amplifier sitting around in my house and was wondering what GOOD speakers would be a match for the amp, here's the specs for the amp:

Terminator Series 4-Channel Class N Car Amplifier
RMS Power Rating:
4 ohms: 45 watts x 4 chan.
2 ohms: 75 watts x 4 chan.
Bridged, 4 ohms: 150 watts x 2 chan.
Max power output: 150 watts x 4 chan.

Thanks in advance !

Look into Alpine Type S coaxial's
They re often on sale and are the best bang for the buck

If you're looking for a more serious set up - you should look into some premier components.

I have the Type S coaxials in my car and the sound quality is day and night. They would work well with the amp as I believe they run at 4ohm around that RMS.
If you want components in the front however it might be tough to find a decent set of 5x7s for a good price so you might want to get a 6.5" template for your fronts.

Personally I'm looking at either some Infinity components or some JBLs, but my main concern is price, so your situation may be a bit different.

I was looking at the alpine Type S coaxials but alot of people tend to say their's too much bass and not enough mids/highs. Also, ive read the reviews on the Infinity Kappas and they all seem to be GREAT reviews, so Infinity components are looking like top choice right now.

The Alpines do not have too much bass by any stretch of the imagination...Quite the contrary I find actually, but they're really great speakers - especially for the rears!

Exactly what I have. Kappas in the rear and reference in the front. I have an MB Quart 5 channel amp and a pioneer HU. the sound is just amazing! Go for the Infinity FTW

Hm, tough decision on my hands forsure. Does alpine by any chance have a component speakers?

They do but it does not go under the Type S name. I think they're like Type X or Type R components in our size range.

Compnents are in the Type R and Type X series only.

Type R is the common ones - typeX if you're serious about sound. But definitely need a proper amp if you wasn't X's
