So I have a question for all the HID experts out there.

I have my HID's hooked up to the parking lights thru a relay.

This morning, HID's were fine, this afternoon no workie. The indicator lights on my relays are not lit, leading me to believe that they are not receiving power from the parkings lights and thus not tripping to allow power from the batteries.

The parking lights work, the high beams work, the fogs work and all the fuses are good.

Is it possible that a bad ground on the wires going from the parking lights to the relay would cause the the relays to not trip?

Any help would be appreciated.

*Update*

So this morning I turn on my car and the drivers side parking light (where I am drawing power from) is now not working. I haven't had a chance to check and see if the it's the bulb or the fuse that's bit the dust but I think that must be the problem area.

I am now thinking that the quick splice connector has cut the power wire and now does not have a good connection. Or once again I wonder if it's possible if it's once again associated with a bad ground.

I'll be starting to take everything apart tonight so if anyone has any tips or suggestions they would be greatly appreciated.

Yep, I would first start by checking the initial connection to the parking lights. Since neither of the HIDs are working it leads me to believe that the relay isn't getting power or it's (the relay) not getting the signal from the parking lights to turn on.

*Update 2*

Well I started to trouble shoot the problem as soon as I got home and I figured out the following:

1. I am an idiot
2. Parking lights work much better when they are plugged in (forgot to hook it back up last night when I was trying to figure out what was wrong)
3. It ended up being a bad connection in the quick splice connector. Did the connection again, properly, and they fired right up!

Phewph, for once my car troubles were an easy fix.
